Hello, my name is Nancy Prullage. My passion is helping students grow so they can have a happy and productive adult life and make a difference in their community. I received my Elementary and Special Education Degree from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. Later in life, I furthered my education by receiving a Masters Degree in Reading and Language Arts K- 12 from Grand Valley State University.

Comstock has been my home for three years. I was hired as a reading specialist working with 5th - 8th graders at NEMS. This year I am a first grade classroom teacher at North. I truly am enjoying this age. They are so excited to learn. Previously, in Grand Rapids, I was a HOSTS (Help One Student to Succeed)/MATCH (Math Achievement Through Community Helpers) Coordinator, and ran the Bridges program. After a few years, my job title changed to Title 1 Coordinator, followed by SST Coordinator, and then many additional administrative duties came my way. Administration was fun, but I missed working with the students. As an educator, there is no greater joy than seeing a student understand a concept. It’s as if a lightbulb goes on; it is truly exciting! This is why I went back to teaching.

My family is very special to me. My husband and my four daughters have had many good times. Now our family has grown to include three sons-in-law and 5 grandchildren. My favorite things are swimming, hiking, and traveling with friends and family.
