Comstock Students to Benefit from One Million Dollar Gift from Local Benefactors, Community Challenged to Match Additional One Million Dollars.

On March 18th 2013, the Comstock Foundation voted to accept a gift from local philanthropists and long time Comstock residents James and Lois Richmond to establish an endowed scholarship fund with a gift in excess of one million dollars.

Spurred by their belief in the Comstock community, its schools, students, and wanting to motivate graduates of Comstock High School to pursue a higher education, the Richmond's are establishing The James W. and Lois I. Richmond Scholarship Fund, a one million dollar endowment to provide college scholarships to Comstock High School graduates.

Along with their generous gift, the Comstock Foundation and the entire Comstock Community is being challenged to raise additional funds for the endowment in which the Richmond's will match dollar for dollar up to an additional one million dollars. The Richmond's goal is to have a three million dollar plus endowment to provide scholarships to future Comstock graduates.

Comstock Seniors that are interested in applying for the Richmond Scholarship can obtain an application from the College and Career office at the high school.
