2015 Academic State Champs!"The Bridge," an online magazine from the Center for Michigan, has announced its fifth annual Academic State Champions, and Comstock High School has been included in this elite list!

Comstock is one of 44 schools on the list, and is the only representative from Kalamazoo County. Rankings are based on the percentage of students who are college or career ready. These numbers are derived from ACT scores in math, English, reading and science. Scores are adjusted for income, and are broken down by county population.

When asked for his reaction, CHS Principal Josh Cunningham said, "I'm proud of my staff and students. The genuinely collaborative work towards improving in the academic arena, as well as in the realm of becoming better people who care about quality, pays off in many ways. This acknowledgment, while gratifying, is only one of them."

Superintendent Todd Mora acknowledges that praise is deserving across the district. "Since most of the students at the high school have progressed through other district buildings, it means that everyone has helped achieve this honor."
