Food Service Information — October, 2020

Bus delivery to homes, and our apartment communities, ended on Tuesday September 29. We cannot continue to provide meals door-to-door once we have students on campus. This is a USDA regulation. Under the National School Lunch Program, and Extended Summer Food Program, the district will be able to offer pick up meals, and that is what we will do moving forward for learners not in the building.

Virtual-only student meal pickups will change to every Wednesday from 12pm - 2pm at CHS beginning Wednesday October 7. This will continue every Wednesday until high school and middle school students are in person. Students will receive 5 days of breakfast meals and 5 days of school lunch meals. This is our only scheduled meal pickup time at this moment. There will no longer be any late afternoon/early evening pickup of meals after Tuesday 9/29. Any adult can pick up meals for kids, but we will not be accepting any special requests for delivery.

STEM Academy students will be returning to school two days a week starting October 5, so here is what they need to know:

STEM Blue (M/Th)
Mondays - breakfast and lunch will go home with the student for at-home learning days on Tuesday & Wednesday (2 breakfast & 2 lunch)
Thursdays - breakfast and lunch will go home for Fridays breakfast & lunch at home ( 1 breakfast & 1 lunch)

STEM White (T/F)
- breakfast and lunch will go home with the student for at-home learning days on Wednesday & Thursday (2 breakfast & 2 lunch)
Fridays - breakfast and lunch will go home for Mondays breakfast & lunch at home (1 breakfast & 1 lunch)

Comstock's fully virtual students can pick up meals on Wednesdays at Comstock High School from noon-2pm

If any student has a special diet request for at-home-learning meals, we will make special meals available for their needs. Please email us at with such requests.

If you have further questions about meal distribution, please send an email with your child's name, school name, and address to: foodhelp@comstockps.orgor call the food service office at 269-250-8719.
