I grew up in Northern Michigan where I attended Suttons Bay Public Schools. My time there led me to study Chemistry at Hope College. During my time at Hope College, I was a member of the chemistry club, did chemistry research, played quidditch, was president of my service fraternity, and was always in one of their many choirs. After I graduated from Hope with my chemistry degree, my love of working with, talking to, and helping people led me to teach.

Teach Kentucky led me to Louisville, Kentucky where I have spent the past eight years teaching middle school science and high school chemistry. One of the highlights of my time in Louisville is being surrounded by the nature in Kentucky. There are so many beautiful natural places to hike and explore. During my time in Kentucky, I earned my Master's in Teaching from the University of Louisville and my Master's in School Counseling from Spalding University.

This summer, I packed up myself and my four dogs and moved to Kalamazoo. I spent the summer getting to know the city better through working with YOU's My City program. I am elated to live only an hour from my adorable nephew, Luca, and live much closer to my parents than before. Other than teaching, I love to travel, paint, and spend time with my dogs. I am excited to join the Comstock STEM family!
