Matt Rayman
Class of 1988
Endorsing the induction of Matt Rayman into the 2026 CHS Hall Of Fame is a genuine privilege for me. Matt was a very competitive player who had a solid career and established himself as a leader and athlete. This trait followed Matt into college and again was utilized successfully by his college coaches. His participation was not just to play the game, but to have an impact on the result and the outcome. Matt was valued by his coaches as a leader and a "get it done" athlete. When Matt's playing days were over at KVCC, he took his talents to GVSU and again was a team leader and a major contributor in baseball. The real highlights and dedication to athletics started when he began his golfing life. He earned his PGA card and put in 30 years of coaching with Otsego schools. In this time, while winning 8 Wolverine Conference golf titles, 1 State title, and many individual awards, he also has been a registered and highly successful basketball official for 20 years. The Wolverine Conference also recognized Matt's contribution to Otsego sports and he was named Wolverine Conference Coach of the Year 12 times. Tonight, as Matt joins his sister Jennifer in the Hall of Fame Induction, he brings great acclaim to the Rayman family and distinction to the Otsego Public Schools.
