2-15 - Comstock 22 - Kalamazoo Christian 28

The 7th Grade B Team girls lost a close game to Kalamazoo Christian, 28-22. The Colts came out flat on defense, allowing their opponents to take an 8 point lead into halftime. Comstock played much better defensively in the 2nd half, but were too sloppy on offense to overcome the deficit. Aeryn Yarbrough continued her strong play as she led all scorers with 10 points. Alexus Wooten added 8. Anna Schreiner also did a great job on the block collecting offensive rebounds for the Colts.

2-13 - Comstock 17 - Martin 42

The 7th Grade Girls B Team lost to Martin's A Team, 42-17. Comstock showed a lot of toughness and fight throughout the game, even though they were clearly outmatched by a much more experienced team. Aeryn Yarbrough did an amazing job controlling the basketball, scoring a team-high 7. Shakeda Parker also added her first 6 points of the season. The girls have shown a ton of growth throughout the year so far and are playing pretty well going into a huge week. Go Comstock!

2-8 - Comstock 16 - Parchment 30

The Comstock 7th Grade B Team lost a hard-fought game against Parchment, 30-16. The Colts played especially tough against a good team as they only trailed by 5 going into the 4th quarter. The girls just couldn't keep it close late in the game. Alexus Wooten had another fantastic game scoring 14 points for Comstock in the loss.

2-6 - Comstock 28 - Delton-Kellogg 20

The 7th Grade Girls B Team picked up their first win of the season against Delton, 28-20. The Colts dominated the first half with solid defensive pressure and timely offense. Comstock sputtered a bit in the 3rd when Delton went to a zone defense, but the girls made the right adjustments and roared back in the 4th quarter. Alexus Wooten had an outstanding game, netting a season-high 14 points. Aeryn Yarbrough also added 8 in the victory. Bri Doud and Autumn Hummel also played key roles throughout the game, especially with their help defense. Great job, ladies!

1-30 - Comstock 18 - Galesburg-Augusta 24

The 7th Grade B Team lost to Galesburg 24-18. The girls struggled to box out their taller opponents throughout much of the game. Aeryn Yarbrough led the Colts with 8 points. Bri Doud, Alexus Wooten and Autumn Hummel also added baskets. The girls will keep looking to improve this week in practice.

1-23 - Comstock 18 - Kalamazoo Christian 20

The 7th Grade Girls Basketball B Team lost a very exciting game against Kalamazoo Christian, 18-20. Overall, the girls played quite well considering the team's lack of experience. Comstock actually held a lead for a majority of the game, but just didn't have enough to hold off Kalamazoo Christian's rally, late. Aeryn Yarbrough scored 6 points and did a great job handling the ball in the loss. Autumn Hummel also stood out in the contest with fantastic help-defense. The team will look to get better in practice this week. Go Colts!
