2021 - 8th Grade

2020
Comstock 8th Grade Girls Basketball
Coach Justin Ansel
Record - 1-7

3-17 - Comstock 7 - Kalamazoo Christian 35

The girls closed their season out with a tough game against Kalamazoo Christian.  I definitely have seen an overall improvement on both sides of the ball but it wasn't enough to stay up with K Christian's speed and size.  I'm very proud of the effort by all of the girls and had a lot of fun coaching them this year.

3-16 - Comstock 19 - Parchment 14

Kylie Blett had her best night of the year hitting some nice shots from the outside and the girls came together as a team to tough out a close game against Parchment.  The girls definitely improved on the defensive end of the floor and continued to give great effort.

3-8 - Comstock 20 - Schoolcraft 30

The girls kept the game close in the first half being down by just 2 points but couldn't withstand the 2nd half play by Schoolcraft.  Overall, 6 of the Comstock girls scored in the game and they played the entire game with lots of effort.

3-4 - Comstock Loss vs Watervliet

3-3 - Comstock 16 - Parchment 17

The 8th grade girls basketball team played a fierce game against parchment. Maddi leading the team with her aggressive attempts to keep the ball pushing down the court and Jordan stepping in stopping the ball on defense. As it came to the final quarter our girls fell behind parchment loosing by one point with the score of 16 to 17 .

But the lady colts held their heads up high and looks forward to playing them again.

2-24 - Comstock Loss vs Gull Lake

2-22 - Comstock 16 - Mendon 40

The 8th grade girls played Mendon and lost tonight 16-40.  We made improvements overall on defense and on getting back but struggled tonight with the press.  Madi Hosbein led the Colts in scoring with 7 points.  Kylie Blett did a really good job of helping break the press.

2-17 - Comstock 18 - Vicksburg 29

The girls started out their season with a tough game against Vicksburg.  We have some work to do but I think this was a good experience to learn about ourselves.  The girls never gave up and used up every ounce of energy.  Madi Hosbein led the Colts with 8 points.
