10-12 - SW10 Tournament at Cassopolis

Match 1 vs White Pigeon. This was a hard team for us to play against all season and whilst we got off to a great start, we fell a bit short in the first game losing 22-17. Our second game was closer and we were up at one stage but after a run of power serving, we lost the 2nd game 22-19.

Match 2 vs Decatur - We came out really strong in this match following our close loss in the previous game and we won the first game against Decatur 22 - 18. The second game was a bit closer until the end when Decatur ran away with, once again, some great serving to win the game 22 - 17.

Match 3 - Our first final saw us matched up against Bloomingdale who we have played and lost to earlier in the season. With some energy still flowing from the previous win we got off to a great start and won the first game 22 - 15. The second game seemed like the exact opposite to the first with Bloomingdale dominating and winning 22- 12. The final went into a third and final short game and unfortunately we lost the coin toss and had to receive and deal with power serves. Bloomingdale got off to a good start and whilst we fought back, we lost the third and final game 15 - 9 ending our tournament.

10-9 - Comstock 0 - Marcellus 3

Our final match of the season was an away match against Marcellus who had a mixed 7th/8th Grade team due to numbers and proved to be a bit too strong for us. We were a bit slow to get started and unfortunately lost the first game 25-12 before fighting back in the 2nd game which was much closer, just losing 25 - 19. The third and final game saw Marcellus get on a run of powerful serves and we lost the third game 25- 15.

10-2 - Comstock 3 - Centreville 0

In our final home game for the year we welcomed Centreville to Comstock and enjoyed our first season win. We started off strong in the first game but Centreville still won 25-19. We knew we were good enough to win this match and dug deep in the second game and served and returned well to win 25-18. In the final game we found ourselves behind before going on a strong serving streak to win the final game 25-19 and win the match.

9-30 - Comstock 1 - Bloomingdale 2

Our skills have been improving over the last few weeks and our return match against Bloomingdale proved to be much more competitive compared to the first time we played them. Bloomingdale won the match 2-1 winning the first 2 games 25-19 in really close games. Comstock won the 3rd game to finish the match on a positive note, winning 25-23.

9-26 - Comstock 1 - Hartford 2

Since we last played Hartford our girls have improved tremendously and we started off with an amazing win in game one with a score of 25-18. We continued our excellent form and had a match point at 25-24. Unfortunately, Hartford scored 3 straight points to win the game 27-25. In the final game our girls ran out of energy as Hartford went on a run of powerful serves to win the game 25-12.

9-25 - Comstock 2 - White Pigeon 1

Playing against White Pigeon has taught our girls some valuable lessons for the future as they are a team that can serve well, bump, set and spike playing three touch volleyball. WhitePigeon won the first two games fairly comfortably (25-12, 25-6) but our girls fought hard in the third game narrowly falling 25-19.

9-18 - Comstock 1 - Bangor 2

Another home match but this time against Bangor. All of the hard work the girls are putting in is starting to pay off as Comstock won the first game 25 - 13. Bangor won the second game 25-13 setting the match up for a great finish. Bangor won the toss and got to serve first giving them a slight advantage that turned into the win, narrowly beating us by 25-22.

9-16 - Comstock 0 - Bloomingdale 3

We enjoyed another home match this time against Bloomingdale who we matched up really well with. Our girls fought hard but unfortunately came away with another loss. Bloomingdale won the match: 25 - 12, 25 - 13 but we saw the girls fight really hard in the 3rd game, just losing by 25 - 19.

9-11 - Comstock 0 - White Pigeon 3

In our first home match we played against White Pigeon who once again fielded a really strong team. Our Comstock Colts must have been feeling tired from our tournament and busy week as we ran out of energy as the match progressed. White Pigeon won the match: 25-16, 25-6 & 25-3.

9-9 - Comstock 0 - Hartford 3

In our first league match we discovered there are some really strong teams in our league with some powerful hitting opponents. The girls worked hard all night but just couldn’t match the power of some Hartford players. We lost the three games 25 - 17, 25 -14 and 25 - 22.

9-7 - Martin Volleyball Tournament

Match 1 - We started off our tournament playing against Galesburg. We won the first Game 21 - 18 but lost the 2nd game 21 - 16. A great start for our team.
Match 2 - In our second match for the day we came up against a really strong team from Watervliet. We ended up losing that match 21-16 & 21 - 15.
Match 3 - In our final group match we played against Gobles and enjoyed our first win of the season as we won the first game 21 - 17 & the second game 21-19. This meant that we went through to the finals.
Final - In our finals match we were grouped against Kalamazoo Premier and just lost the first game 21-19. The second game was just as close and we almost made an excellent come back but were ultimately bundled out of the finals losing 21-18.
