10-8 - Comstock 0 - White Pigeon 3
We had a tough game against White Pigeon tonight. We only had one sub so the girls got tired quick. The girls played hard and went for every ball. We are continuing to work on our serve receive and absorbing hard balls. The girls have come a long way since the beginning of the year and have kept a great attitude throughout the whole season.
10-7 - Comstock 1 - Hartford
The girls played hard against Hartford. It was a battle to the finish. They kept their energy high and their attitudes positive through all 3 sets which helped us stick right with the opponent. Hartford had one server that we struggled receiving which caused us to get into a hole that we just dig ourselves back out of in the first and third sets. Despite the loss, the girls played great and have shown great improvement each game.
10-1 - Comstock 1 - Marcellus 2
Comstock lost 1-2 against Marcellus Wednesday. We started off strong and kept the momentum throughout the whole match. The girls were throwing their bodies to get balls up that they usually wouldn’t. Despite the loss, this was the best game that girls have played this season.
9-22 - Comstock 0 - Bloomingdale 3
We lost in 3 sets against Bloomingdale. They had a few tough servers that made it hard for us to receive. The girls have been practicing hard and have been working on fundamentals and have shown great improvements since the beginning of the season.
9-17 - Comstock 0 - White Pigeon 3
We had a tough game against White Pigeon tonight and ended up losing the 3 sets. We struggled with serve receive, getting balls over the net, and calling the ball. This game was great practice for girls to focus on the fundamentals and learn from mistakes.
9-15 - Comstock 2 - Lawrence 1
The girls started strong against Lawrence with getting lots of serves in. The second set we got complacent and let them beat us. We were giving up easy balls and not calling the ball. We got together as a team after the second set and talked about what we need to do in the third game. They went in ready to play and finished with a win.
9-13 - Martin Tournament

Bracket Play
Comstock 0 - Martin 2
The girls started off slow in the first game against Galesburg-Augusta, but they came ready to play the second game against Gobles. They brought lots of energy and had great attitudes. We carried that momentum into our third game against Martin and won the first set. We ended up playing Martin again in the first game of bracket play and ended up losing. Overall a great tournament for the girls with lots of opportunities to grow in future games.
9-10 - Comstock 0 - Bangor 3
8th grade girls lost 3 sets to Bangor. We started off slow and ended up losing due to missing serves and lack of communication. After some team talk, we gained back our energy and really focused on our serves in the 3rd game. It was a high energy game that ended up being close.
9-8 - Comstock 0 - Bloomingdale 3
8th grade lost 3 sets vs Bloomingdale. The girls were getting over nerves and working on keeping their energy high. We will use this as a learning experience and continue working hard moving forward.
