The
6th grade girls team played 3 games this weekend and went 1-2. Kierra
Garrett led the team in scoring in all 3 games and did a great job bring
the ball of the floor. Jessica Sivley hustled all over the court and
did a great job playing defense. Brynne Johnson was our 2nd leading
scorer on the day and did a great job defending Harper's best girl.
Kelci Wilson-Abrams also started picking up her play and did a great
job.
11-9 - Comstock 49 - Lakeview 18
The
6th Grade Girls Stampede Basketball Team beat Lakeview 49-18. Kierra
Garrett scored a game-high 22 points while Brynne Johnson and Kelci
Abrams had 16 and 8, respectively. Awesome job, girls!
11-2 - Comstock 13 - Marshall 56
The
6th grade girls team just didn't come to play today. Marshall did a
great job running up and down the floor and we just couldn't keep up or
handle the pressure. Good learning experience for all of them. Kierra
Garrett scored all 13 points for Comstock.
10-26 - Comstock 35 - Lakeshore 30
The
6th grade girls were tied at half time at 16 before taking over the
game. Kierra Garrett again led the team with 25 points and continues to
do a nice job distributing the ball. Brynne Johnson did a great job
attacking the basket and scored 8 points on the day. Jessica Sivley and
Ceirra Jackson both continue improve on defense.
10-19 - Comstock 48 - Vicksburg 38
The
6th grade girls were down 10 at the half before coming alive in the 4th
quarter scoring 25 points and winning by 10. Kierra Garrett led the
team with 34 points and had some nice passes down the stretch. Brynne
Johnson, Kelci Wilson-Abrams, Jessica Sivley and Marissa McBride all
played key rolls defensively.
