Terry Fields

Terry Fields

Class of 1974

Growing up I always knew my dad was a great athlete. My brother and I would go watch him play softball or basketball and as we got older we even played along with him. As kids he allowed us to try any sport and even coached us in a few throughout the years. I can remember a time when I was in high school,I went to watch my dad run in the Corporate Olympics. He was running anchor on the 4x100 relay team that was losing when he got the baton by a good 25 yards. Needless to say, my friend and I cheered and laughed as my dad walked him down and won the race. I still get asked today from random people that see the Fields last name, "Are you related to a Terry Fields? He was fast and fun to watch." I was proud to say "Yes, that is my dad!"
