5-25 - Comstock 1 - Schoolcraft 8

Comstock was sent home early in districts, suffering an 8-1 loss. While the previous match was close, this time the eagles came out hungry and relentless and proved too much for the Colts defense. Kruis scored the lone goal for Comstock on a break-away transition but did not see the ball very much as the mid-field struggled to possess the ball. The colts end the year 12-8-0 with another conference title and a litany of team and individual performances to be extremely proud of.

5-22 - Comstock 8 - Maple Valley 0

The colts rounded out their season with an 8-0 victory over Vermontville Maple Valley. Lydia Kruis scored 5 goals while Litzy Ramirez recorded 2 goals and 2 assists and Rowan Hagenbuch had 1 of each. Comstock will enter the post-season in a rematch with Schoolcraft/

5-17 - Comstock 12 - Buchanan 4

Comstock defeated Buchanan thanks to a massive 8-goal outburst from Lydia Kruis with the final tally being a 12-4 victory. Litzy Ramirez assisted on 6 of those goals and added 2 of her own, Rowan Hagenbuch contributing the other 2. The colts will travel to Maple Valley to close out the regular season.

5-12 - Comstock 5 - Schoolcraft 6

The colts hosted Schoolcraft and lost a heart-breaker 5-6. Schoolcraft conceded the first 2 goals to Lydia Kruis before making a defensive adjustment and quieting her momentarily. Schoolcraft then came back and scored 4 to enter halftime with a 4-2 lead. Freshman Rowan Hagenbuch opened the second half scoring before Kruis traded goals back and forth with the eagles. Comstock would have several scoring opportunities in the final two minutes to equalize but ended up finishing with a loss.

5-11 - Comstock 8 - Hartford 0

On Thursday, Comstock secured their second consecutive Southwest 10 conference title in Girls Varsity Soccer, defeating the Hartford Huskies by a score of 8-0. Senior captain Lydia Kruis scored 7 of the 8 goals in the contest and was assisted by Litzy Ramirez (4 assists) and Rowan Hagenbuch (1 goal, 2 assists) while goalkeeper Summer Beavers posted her third shutout of the season. The Colts close the season against 3 more non-conference opponents before hosting Schoolcraft in the first round of the district tournament to begin their post-season.

5-8 - Comstock 4 - Marcellus 0

Comstock defeated conference opponent Marcellus by a score of 4-0. Defensive captain Anna Putti led scoring with 2 goals while Taze Johnson and Lydia Kruis each added a goal. Litzy Ramirez chipped in 3 assists. This win put the colts in the driver's seat for the conference title for the second year in a row.

5-6 - Quincy Invitational
Comstock 4 - Parchment 3
Comstock 2 - Quincy 5

Comstock participated in the annual Quincy invitational and opened up the contest against Parchment, whom they beat in a thriller earlier this season. This game was no different and saw the lead change hands 3 times until the colts went up 4-3 with mere minutes to go and secured the win.
The next game against Quincy did not go quite as planned and the short-handed Colts simply ran out of gas after going into halftime with a 2-1 lead. The Orioles added 4 goals in the 2nd half and walked away tournament winners on their home turf.  Lydia Kruis ended the day with 5 goals including one on a penalty kick and Rowan Hagenbuch recorded 1.

5-4 - Comstock 7 - Bloomingdale 2

Comstock continued its tour of Southwest Michigan by traveling next to Bloomingdale, getting a little revenge for the loss earlier in the season and winning by a score of 7-2. Lydia Kruis scored 6 goals including one from a free kick at about 25 yards out that snuck just between the fingertips of the goalkeeper and the upper post. Litzy Ramirez also beat the keeper from distance for her lone goal of the contest. Defender Anna Putti recorded 2 assists from her centerback position.

5-3 - Comstock 9 - Bangor 1

The Colts routed conference foe Bangor 9-1. The Vikings had no answer for Lydia Kruis who, for the second time this season, recorded 7 goals, 5 of which were assisted by Litzy Ramirez who scored the other 2 goals. Rowan Hagenbuch added 2 assists.

4-27 - Comstock 6 - Constantine 5

Comstock eeked out a 6-5 win over Constantine in spite of having 2 starters out on injury. The game saw the colts come back from a 2-goal deficit with less than 10 minutes remaining to go up by a goal in the final 2 minutes to ice the contest. Lydia Kruis scored 4 goals and added an assist while Litzy Ramirez and Rowan Hagenbuch each contributed a goal.

4-24 - Comstock 6 - Hartford 0

The Colts were hosted by conference opponent Hartford where they won a lopsided battle 6-0. Captain Litzy Ramirez scored 2 goals and recorded 2 assists while Lydia Kruis added 4 more goals to her record. Rowan Hagenbuch also added an assist.

4-21 - Comstock 2 - Fennville 8

Comstock hit the road once again and traveled to Fennville where they lost by a score of 2-8. Both Colts goals came from Lydia Kruis and were assisted by Litzy Ramirez and Rowan Hagenbuch. Comstock travels next to Hartford.

4-19 - Comstock 12 - Marcellus 1

Comstock hosted a conference opponent for the 2nd day in a row and came away with 2nd conference win, this time by a score of 12-1 that saw the game called at halftime. Senior Captain Lydia Kruis scored 7 goals and, in the process, broke the school record for career goals that was previously set at 100. Senior Litzy Ramirez scored 2 of her own and assisted 3 more while Freshman Rowan Hagenbuch added a hat-trick to round out the scoring for the colts.

4-18 - Comstock 9 - Bangor 2

Comstock defeated Bangor 9-2 on Tuesday with 5 different players scoring goals: Lydia Kruis (4), Litzy Ramirez (2), Alondra Chiquito (1), Taze Johnson (1), and Rowan Hagenbuch (1). Kruis will look to break the school record for career goals (100) against conference foe Marcellus on Wednesday.

4-14 - Comstock 1 - Michigan Lutheran 5

Comstock lost 5-1 vs Michigan Lutheran in a game that was yet again close at the half but got broken loose in the 2nd half. Senior Litzy Ramirez scored the lone goal for the Colts while Noelle Keene split keeper duties with Summer Beavers and stopped a penalty chance. Ultimately Michigan Lutheran's speed proved to be too much for the colts defense and 4 second-half goals sealed this contest.

4-12 - Comstock 1 - Bloomingdale 2

Comstock lost 2-1 in a nailbiter that saw the colts out-shoot Bloomingdale 14-9. The Colts were without a substitute - Bloomingdale's 2 goals coming while Comstock played short-handed due to injury. The Colts will look for redemption when these teams meet again on May 1st.

4-10 - Comstock 2 - Quincy 10

Comstock lost 10-2 while visiting Quincy. While the game was manageable in the first half with a score of 4-1 at halftime and the colts opening the scoring in the 2nd half to bring it to within two, the back of the net would elude them for the rest of the game as Quincy managed to get multiple long crosses to connect with back-side runners to put the game out of reach.

4-6 - Comstock 1 - Olivet 6

Comstock traveled to Olivet on 4/7 and was sent home with a 6-1 loss. Even though the Colts opened the scoring on a goal from Lydia Kruis in the opening minutes, the Olivet Eagles would control the ball for most of the game. While the Colts defense, led by Junior Anna Putti, would hold strong for the majority of the first half, it was only a matter of time before the equalizer found the back of the net. Junior Summer Beavers recorded 22 saves during the game and was responsible for cleaning up a number of close-calls that didn't make the stat-sheet. Comstock travels next to Quincy.

4-4 - Comstock 7 - Parchment 6

Comstock opened the season against Parchment after a 30-minute lightning delay, winning a thriller 7-6. Senior captains Litzy Ramirez and Lydia Kruis connected on 2 quick goals to start the contest, which would become a theme for the night. Parchment clawed their way back and went up 3-2 before Kruis added 3 more goals, giving the colts a 5-3 lead at the break. Parchment would add 2 more to equalize starting the second half but Comstock would never trail again. Kruis would end the contest with 6 goals, all assisted from Ramirez who added a second half goal of her own. While not making the stat sheet, freshmen Rowan Hagenbuch and Ella Harris made excellent on the field contributions on the way to securing a win in the 2023 opener.
