5-19 - KVA Conference Meet

The girls team made up of mostly freshmen have a bright future, with runners like LiLi Martin, Ahkyla Blakely and Artesiah Jones. Those three, along with Jordan Baker were all KVA in the 4x200 relay. Ahkyla made all conference in the 200M dash finishing third. Jordan Baker continued her unbeaten streak in the 400M dash, winning the 400 by four seconds! Great job this season to all the runners! The hard work you put in resulted in the most successful track season in nearly twenty years.

5-15 - MHSAA Regional

On Friday, the  Comstock Varsity Track team competed in it's regional meet at Gobles High School.  A total of nine runners qualified for the state meet in seven different events. The Comstock Girls team was led by Senior Jordan Baker, who finished first in the 400M dash for the fourth straight year at regionals. Her time of 60.29, was good enough to qualify for the state meet on May 30th. Jordan also medaled in the 800M run finishing 5th. Freshmen Artiesiah Jones also medaled, finishing 8th in the 100M dash, a very good finish for a freshmen!

5-1 - Bangor Invitational

The girls team had it's share of success Friday also, Jordan Baker kept her record in the 400M dash perfect this season, finishing first with a time of 60.1 seconds. Ahkyla Blakely continued her fantastic freshmen year with two second place finishes in the 100M and 200m dashes. Great job to all the runners Friday, the Colts face three KVA conference teams tomorrow, please come out and support them.

4-28 - Comstock 33 - Parchment 79

The Comstock Track team took on Parchment on Tuesday, in a KVA dual meet. A shorthanded girls team lost to Parchment 79-33, but there were some bright spots. Jordan Baker won the 400M dash and is still undefeated for the season in the event, with a time of 1:02. Freshmen Ahkyla Blakely took first in the long jump with a 10'6.5" leap. Kendall Green took second in both the 1600M and the 3200M runs.

4-17 - Comstock Invitational

The girls team performed well, but ran into a very good Cassopolis team that was just a step faster all day long. Jordan Baker was the exception though, winning the 400M dash and keeping her undefeated streak intact for the season. Baker also took first in the 800M run in one of the most exciting finishes of the day. The most exciting race of the day was by far the throwers relay! The relay team of Austin Curry, Raj Patel, Brianna Salome and Arreona Blakely took first in the most important race of the day.

4-14 - Comstock 50 - Delton-Kellogg 81

The girls team fell 81-50, in an uphill battle with only nine girls competing. If it was quality over quantity, the girls would be in it every meet. Freshmen sensation Ahkyla Blakely took four first place finishes, competing in the 100M dash, 200M dash, 4x200 and 4x100 relay. Jordan Baker took first in the 400M dash, a race where she has only lost four times in four years. The girls shot put trio of Ondreya Morris, Arreona Blakely and Brianna Salome took the top three places in shot put, and are setting new personal bests every meet. Great job to all the runners today.

4-1 - KVA Dual Comstock ? - Constantine ?
Tri Meet Format - Comstock ? - Constantine ? - Lawrence ?


Running in ideal weather conditions, the Comstock track team competed in a double dual meet Wednesday, against Constantine and Lawerence.  The Girls team fell to both Constantine and Lawrence, but had there share of success, mostly led by Freshmen. Ondrea Morris took first in the shot put and second in the discus. Ahkyla Blakely took first in the 100M, 200M and 4X200m relay. Jordan Baker the only senior girl took first in the 400M dash, 4X200 realy, and second in the 800M run. 

3-30 - Comstock Tri Meet
Hopkins - 99
Comstock - 32
Mendon - 32

The Comstock Varsity Track and Field team competed in their first meet of the season Monday, in a tri meet against Mendon and Hopkins. The team has worked hard for three weeks preparing for the season, and Monday it was time to have some fun.  Comstock girls fell to a very good Hopkins team, but tied Mendon. The relay team of Jordan Baker, Lili martin, Artiesiah Jones and Ahkyla Blakely took first in the 4X100 with a time of 58.24 seconds. The three freshmen Ahkyla, lili and Artiesiah made a big impact on the meet, with all three taking first, second and third in four other events. Jordan Baker also took first place in the 400 meter dash.

4-21 Varsity Girls Results
