Randy Dokey

Randy Dokey

Class of 1980

Randy was born and raised in Comstock with his 3 older brothers. At the age of 7 he started playing football when the Rocket Football program was first introduced in this area. He then played Little League Baseball, and was constantly shooting hoops in the backyard with his brothers. At age 8 or 9, Randy was recruited to play on a “Mini-Globetrotter” type basketball team. They did exhibitions during halftime of the high school games. What a treat to see these young boys dribble the basketball all over the court. Randy continued to play football, basketball and baseball all through high school, earning 6 Varsity letters and was team captain in all three sports his senior year. After high school, Randy attended Olivet College on a football scholarship and set the school record for longest punt return at 82 yards. Currently, Randy and his wife Jill are kept busy attending the many games of their 3 sons. AJ and Shane are playing collegiate Baseball, and Jerad is playing Baseball, Football and Basketball at Brighton High School.
