5-16 - MHSAA Regionals

You Lady Colt Tennis team finished their season at the Regional Tournament on Thursday. The singles players of Emily Dobson and Franka Lorsche started the day strong, making it to the semi-final round before losing to higher seeded opponents. The doubles teams of Sammi Bogema and Alexus Hofacre, and Keilani Baumgartner and Mason Scott won their first round matches before losing to the top-seeded teams.  It was a perfect weather day and all Colts played well while displaying great sportsmanship.  Pleas CONGRATULATE the entire team for their 7th year in a row of Academic All State with a team GPA of 3.55!

5-14 - Comstock 2 - Plainwell 5

Your Lady Colt Tennis team traveled to Plainwell Tuesday night for a non-conference match. Emily Dodson, Franka Lorsche, and Sammi Bogema made the most of the night by picking up another victory for themselves.

5-10 - BCS Conference Tournament

Friday was a long day for your Lady Colt Tennis team but we made the most of our opportunities! Despite only participating in 7 of the 8 tennis flights, Comstock placed 5 flights in the conference championship matches! Unfortunately we did not produce any conference champions this year but are celebrating conference runner-ups for all of our singles players: Emily Dodson, Franka Lorscha, and Jeztrelle Abella. The doubles teams of Sammi Bogema and Alexus Hofacre, and the team of Keilani Baumgartner and Masyn Scott are also conference runner-ups. Placing 3rd in the conference include the doubles team of Emma Otto and Kelsey Militzer, and Amber Payne and Holly Gamble.

5-6 - Comstock 4 - Bridgman/LMC 1

Monday night was a soggy Senior Night for your Lady Colt Tennis team, but we sent the seniors off with a victory against LMC-Bridgeman! Picking up another important conference win include Jeztrelle Abella, Emma Otto, Kelsey Militizer, Keilani Baumgartner, Masyn Scott, Holly Gamble, and Amber Payne. Emily Dodson, Franka Lorsche, Sammi Bogema, and Alexus Hofacre were all leading in their matches before rain cancelled the rest of the night.

5-3 - Comstock 5 - Berrien Springs 3

Third time's a charm as your Lady Colt Tennis team could finally travel to Berrien Springs for our conference match on Friday night. The team came home with a 5-3 victory! Picking up wins for our Colts: Emily Dodson, Franka Lorsche, Sammi Bogema, Alexus Hofacre, Emma Otto, Kelsey Militzer, Keilani Baumgartner, and Amber Payne.

4-27 - Kalamazoo Christian Tournament

Your Lady Colt Tennis team played at Kalamazoo College on Saturday in the Kalamazoo Christian tennis tournament. Winning 1st place out of 8 teams at 1 Singles was Comstock's Emily Dodson! Picking up the 2nd place trophy at 2 Singles was Franka Lorsche, losing in a dramatic tie-break. Winning 2 of their 3 matches was the doubles team of Sammi Bogema and Alexus Hofacre.

4-25 - Comstock 7 - New Buffalo 1

Thursday night was perfect for tennis as your Lady Colts hosted the New Buffalo tennis team and picked up a dominating 7-1 victory! Winning important conference matches include: Emily Dodson, Franka Lorsche, Jeztrelle Abella, Masyn Scott, Sammi Bogema, Alexus Hofacre, Emma Otto, Kelsey Militzer, Lani Baumgartner, and Amber Payne.

4-24 - Comstock 5 - Hillsdale 3

Your Lady Colt tennis team welcomed the Hillsdale Hornets on Wednesday night and played great tennis producing a 5-3 Colt victory! Picking up important regional wins include all Singles players of Emily Dodson, Franka Lorsche, Jeztrelle Abella, and Masyn Scott. The doubles team of Emma Otto and Kelsey Militzer also won, with the doubles team of Sammi Bogema and Alexus Hofacre coming up short in a dramatic tie-break.

4-22 - Comstock 2 - Hackett 6

Your Lady Colt Tennis team hosted Hackett on Monday and despite the perfect weather, we could not overcome their strong roster, losing 6-2. Emily Dodson and Franka Lorsche continue to play great tennis and picked up important regional wins. Masyn Scott and the doubles team of Emma Otto and Kelsey Miltzer all played strong but could not secure their matches in the 3rd set tie-break.
4-16 - Comstock 1 - Brandywine 7

Brandywine Women's tennis proved why they are the 6-time defending conference champs last night by defeating our Lady Colts 7-1. Picking up an important conference victory was Franka Lorsche, defeating her opponent in a 3rd-set tiebreak. Emily Dodson continues to play strong, but couldn't find enough winning shots to produce a victory.

4-13 - GK Tennis Tourney

Your Comstock Colt Tennis team participated in the Greater Kalamazoo Tennis Tournament Saturday and Monday with the other 13 teams in our county. Emily Dodson was our lone representative in the finals on Monday, finishing 4th in the tournament with wins over Galesburg-Augusta and Kalamazoo Central. The doubles team of Sammi Bogema and Alexus Hofacre picked up another win over Otsego, while Franka Lorsche played a great match against Kalamazoo Central before losing in a dramatic tie-break.
Join us in Brandywine Tuesday and Berrien Springs Thursday for conference matches.

4-11 - Comstock 4 - Buchanan 4

A short-handed Lady Colt Tennis team traveled to Buchanan and came home with a 4-4 split. Picking up important conference victories include: Emily Dodson and Franka Lorsche at singles, and the doubles teams of Sammi Bogema and Alexus Hofacre, and Masyn Scott and Kelsey Militzer. Also playing a great match but losing in the tie-breaker were the doubles team of Keilani Baumgartner and Amber Payne.
Join us at  Mattawan and Portage Northern Saturday for the annual Greater Kalamazoo Tennis Tournament.

4-10 - Comstock 3 - Otsego 5

Your Comstock Women's Tennis team beat the rain, but not Otsego last night, losing a tough match 3-5. Picking up victories include Jeztrelle Abella at Singles, and the doubles teams of Sammi Bogema and Alexus Hofacre, and Emma Otto and Kelsey Militzer. Playing great tennis, but coming up just a little short were Emily Dodson and Masyn Scott.

3-26 - Comstock 7 - Galesburg-Augusta 1

Tuesday night the Lady Colt Tennis team traveled to Galesburg-Augusta for our 1st match of the season and came home with a 7-1 victory!  The night was highlighted by our number 1 Singles player Emily Dodson soundly defeating (6-0, 6-0) her GA rival that she has never beaten in their high school careers! Joining Emily in victory: Franka Lorsche, Jeztrelle Abella, Masyn Scott, Samantha Bogema, Alexus Hofacre, Emma Otto, Kelsey Militzer, Amber Payne, and Ash Mulder.
