The State Ranked Varsity Colts Baseball team took the field
behind great senior leadership and turned in an excellent season, finishing
second in the Conference and making it to the District Championship Game before
ending the season with a 21-7 record. The Colts played in 11 one run ballgames,
winning 9 of them and taking home championships from both the Bangor and
Bronson Invitationals. Two-time
All-State shortstop, Shane Easter, became the first Comstock player to play in
the MHSBCA All-Star game where he was named the West’s MVP. Shane was also the BCS Conference MVP and leaves
behind many season and career records.
Logan Tiller, team MVP, All-Conference, All-District and All-Region
pitcher, won 21 games for the Colts over his career, and holds the season
stolen base record of 52. Catcher, Dylan
LaBrie, an All-Conference and All-District player and a Coaches Award winner, along
with Tim Thomas, an Honorable Mention outfielder, Utility player, David Bell, and
outfielder, Jhamil Davis, completed the senior squad. Juniors, Eric Miller, a Conference Honorable
Mention second baseman, Academic All-State third baseman Kyle Moore, outfielders
Jacob Dankert and Connor Kent, along with Sophomore first baseman, TJ Reilly
and Freshman pitcher and infielder, Jared Plane, rounded out the team and
promised to be a solid core for next year’s team. Scorekeepers Emily Fletter, Maegan Dore and
Megan Payne kept the scorebooks and Coaches Devin Johnson, Brad Clements and
Comstock Hall of Famer, Michael Giddings, worked hard to get the team ready and
focused. Logan Tiller’s 2-0 complete game shutout win over Hopkins gave Coach
Rich Bailey his 500th varsity win.
It was truly a Season to Remember!
