Betsie Aldridge Taylor
Class of 1990
Betsie Aldridge Taylor was a remarkably successful athlete at Comstock High School. During her high school career, she made significant contributions to winning 6 Wolverine Conference, 6 District, 3 Regional and 2 State Championships. Betsie was one of the most coachable athletes to have worn a Comstock uniform. Her willingness to learn and her overall attitude were powerful intangibles that all coaches hope their teams will possess. Betsie was also a great team player placing team accomplishments ahead of her individual goals. After high school, Betsie earned a full ride scholarship to the University of Kentucky where she was a 4 year starter in volleyball and team captain her senior year. She is currently the Executive Director for the Kentucky Nursery and Landscaping Association. She is also married to Juan Taylor who is the current Wide Receivers Coach at the University of Buffalo and recently welcomed their newborn daughter Kennedy. Written by Jim Kordupel
