10-22 - Comstock 2 - Delton 4
The
boys soccer team finished up their fall schedule with a 7-4 record.
They played their last game against Delton and lost 4-2. Callie James
was able to play with us and was a huge contributor scoring both goals.
The boys did an awesome job throughout the season and we're all very
proud of you.
10-16 - Comstock 2 - Allegan 6
This
game was much more evenly matched than the score indicates. We had a
couple kids playing keeper for the first time and unfortunately it
showed. Kyle Moore scored both goals with the 2nd goal coming off of a
header from a corner kick from Evan Veenhuis.
10-14 - Comstock 1 - Kalamazoo Christian 4
Evan Veenhuis scored the lone goal for Comstock. Boys weren't ready to play today.
10-9 - Comstock 4 - Lawton 0
The
MS boys soccer team continued their success by beating Lawton 4-0 for
their 7th win of the season. Seth Ansel started the scoring with a goal
10 minutes into the game followed by goals from Evan Veenhuis, Ryan
Leeger and Bernardino Sivley. Jesse Mortimer continues to play solid
defense for us in the back.
10-4 - Comstock 8 - Marcellus 1
The
MS boys soccer team recorded their 6th win of the season by beating
Marcellus 8-1. David Miller and Kyle Moore both scored 2 goals in the
game while David Thomas, Seth Ansel, Caden Blain and Evan Veenhuis each
added 1 goal. Bernardino Sivley Zach Gallahar had many close chances
and played well throughout the evening.
10-2 - Comstock 1 - Hackett 0
The
boys soccer team beat Hackett last night 1-0 in their best game of the
year. The boys are now 5-1 on the season and are playing very well
together. Kyle Moore scored the winning goal minutes into the 2nd half
of the game and then our defense stood strong until the end. David
Miller played a spectacular game at the outside midfield position.
9-30 - Comstock 4 - Three Rivers 1
The
boys soccer team beat Three Rivers 4-1. Kyle Moore scored 2 goals and
Zac Taube and Evan Veenhuis each added 1. Zach Gallahar had his best
game of the year marking up Three River's best player and holding him in
check.
9-25 - Comstock 4 - Kalamazoo Christian 2
The
MS boys soccer team beat Kalamazoo Christian last night 4-2. They
finished the 1st half tied at 2 apiece with goals from Evan Veenhuis and
Jacob Leeger. In the 2nd half, Seth Ansel had his first 2 goal game by
scoring on a break away and a penalty kick. Zach Gallahar and David
Miller continue to improve and are doing very well.
9-18 - Comstock 4 - Mattawan Blue 1
The
boys played a spectacular game. Passing and marking up were 2 things
we needed to improve upon and they did both of them very well. After a
0-0 1st half, Seth Ansel got us off to a great start with a goal seconds
into the 2nd half. Kyle Moore then added 2 goals and then Jacob Leeger
finished the scoring off for the night. Jesse Mortimer continues to
anchor our defense while Evan Veenhuis, Seth Ansel and Bernardino Sivley
play the midfield very well.
9-16 - Comstock 4 - Mattawan Gold 0
The
boys showed a lot of improvement from their first game and were able to
capitalize throughout the night. Kyle Moore led the team with 3 goals
and Evan Veenhuis added 1. Bryce Hamilton barely missed out on his
first goal of the season and played well.
9-10 - Comstock 1 - Delton 3
The
MS boys soccer team lost to Delton last night 3-1. Seth Ansel scored
the lone goal for Comstock. The boys played to a 0-0 tie in the 2nd
half as they improved throughout the night. Jesse Mortimer played very
well on defense while Bernardino Sivley hustled all over the field.
Callie James also did a tremendous job as our keeper.
