Jennifer Briggs

Jennifer Briggs

Class of 1993

When I think back to Jen, the first thing that comes to mind is "CLASS ACT"! I have seen many players in my 25 years of coaching come and go at CHS, but in the category of leadership, development and character, she is at the top of my list! Her desire, commitment and dedication were amazing to watch. The mark of a great athlete is that when they step on the court or field, they raise the level of everyone around them....this was JEN! She had the innate ability to raise the level of play of everyone around her when the times got tough! She had the ability to take over a match...with her size, speed and power...which developed so much over the years...it was truly great to watch her develop. It was so wonderful to see Jen achieve her dreams! Jen dreamed big and was able to reach for the stars and become a 3 time volleyball state champ & 3 time all-stater. Her hard work and dedication paid off as she was able to achieve yet another dream of playing at the next level for the University of Notre Dame. Her focus on being a hard worker, on the court and in the classroom, prepared her well for Notre Dame, where she also excelled as a 2 time Knute Rockne Scholar Athlete. I can think of no finer representative of our Athletic Alumni to be awarded the honor of Hall of Fame member than Jennifer Briggs. When her plaque goes up on that wall, I will definitely be telling the younger girls that this is someone they will want to aspire to be like! Congrats Jen and thanks for all the respect you brought to the Comstock Athletic programs through your years her at CHS! We are so proud of you.
