2-17 - KVA Tournament Champions
Boys Varsity bowling wrapped up the regular season Friday by winning the KVA
tournament, the boys got off to a great start shooting there season high and
leader board baker game score of 215, they struggled the 2nd baker
game, then shot a nice 192, the boys took the lead after the 6 baker games. Then
in regular game 1 shot a 905 team game and took a 129 pin led into the last
game. They struggled early in the last game but got it together and closed
strong shooting a 789 and securing the win. Eric Hotchkiss led the boys with a
211 game 390 series, Mason House was close behind with a 198 game 370 series,
Eric Miller shot his personal best 187 in game 1 and David Bell shot a solid
331. Next up is regionals, team event is Friday the 24th at Eastland, 8:00am
start time, singles is Saturday the 25th at Eastland, 1:00pm start time.
2-8 - Comstock 29 - Hackett 1
Boys varsity bowling closed out the regular season Wednesday night against
Hackett, the boys came out strong with a 200 baker game, they backed it up with
a 169 to win both bakers and go up 10 – 0. They continued to dominate, shooting
879 in the first regular game and then a 933 for a season high 1812 series,
winning the match 29 – 1, and finishing 10 – 4 on the season. Mason House led
all with a personal best 255, 255 for a 510 series, 255 takes over
3rd on the all-time leader board and his 510 takes over
1st, the 510 also leads the conference. Eric Hotchkiss shot his
season high 242 game 410 series, and Garrett Green also shot his personal best
181 game and 351 series. Next event will be the conference tournament on the
17th at PINZ with an 11:00 start time.
2-6 - Comstock 14 - Bronson 16
Boys varsity bowling had a match Monday night vs conference leading Bronson, the
got off to a slow start losing both baker games and going down 0 – 10 to start
the match, they came back in the 1st regular game winning 7 of the 9 points,
then tied the last game and lost the match 14 – 16, the loss puts them at 9 – 4.
David Bell led the way with a 224 game 387 series, Mason House was close behind
with a 215 game 384 series, Eric Miller shot a nice 174 and Garrett Green added
games of 158, 157. Last match of the regular season is Wednesday at home vs
Hackett with a 4:00pm start time at Eastland Bowl.
2-1 - Comstock 27 - Parchment 3
Boys varsity bowling keep on the winning track Wednesday against Parchment, the boys got off to a fast start winning both baker games with scores of 181 and 201 for the 3rd all-time baker series of 382. They keep up the good bowling in the regular games winning 17 of the 20 points and winning the match 27 -3, the win puts them a 9 – 3 on the season and 2nd place in conference. Mason House led the boys with games of 235 & 197 for a 432 series, David Bell had a solid 183,175 and Garrett Green added a nice 172. Next match is Monday at Home VS Bronson, 4:00pm start time at Eastland
1-30 - Comstock 16 - Schoolcraft 14
Boys varsity bowling got back on the winning track Monday night vs Schoolcraft,
the boys dug a big hole losing both baker games and being down 0 – 10, the
bowled better in the first regular game losing 3 of the head to head match’s,
still down 6 – 13 the boy’s really turned it on in the 2nd regular
game shooting a 873 team game and winning all but 1 point and winning the match
16 – 14, the win puts them at 8 – 3 on the season. Mason House led the way with
a 213 game and 403 series, David Bell shot a nice 192 and Hunter DeLeon shot his
personal best 181 game. Next match is Wednesday vs Parchment with a 4:00pm start
time at Eastland Bowl.
1-25 - Comstock 12 - Coloma 18
Boys varsity bowling was on the road Wednesday vs Coloma, the boys came out strong shooting a 207 in the first baker game (3rd high on the all-time leader board) but a couple of bad breaks put them on the losing end by a final score of 12 – 18, losing a baker game by 1 pin, a regular team game by 7 pins, and the other by just 11 pins, the lost puts them at 7 – 3 on the season. David Bell shot a 199 game 371 series, Mason House a 182 game 361 series, Eric Miller a solid 160 game 317 series. Next Match is Monday at home vs Schoolcraft, 4:00 start time at Eastland Bowl.
1-24 - Comstock 16 - Kalamazoo Christian 14
Boys varsity bowling beat K-Christian Tuesday 16-14 in a very close match, they split the baker games and the regular games, the difference maker was winning the baker total for 2 points to earn them the win and put them at 7 – 2 on the season. David Bell led the boys with a 212 game 341 series, Eric Hotchkiss shot a solid 348 series, Mason House added a 341 and Garrett Green shot his personal best 313 series.
1-18 - Comstock 28 - Galesburg-Augusta 2
Boys varsity bowling got back on the winning track Wednesday night vs Galesburg
Augusta winning the match 28 – 2, they bowled solid all night winning both baker
games and shooting a nice 198 game. They then dominated both regular games on
losing only 1 point in each game, the win brings them to 6 - 2 on the season.
David Bell led the boys with a 211 game 384 series, Mason House had a 193 game
365 series.
1-17 - Comstock 7 - Bronson 23
Boys varsity bowling had a tough match Tuesday night on the road vs Bronson, the
boys battled but in the end lost 7 to 23, the loss brings their season record to
5 wins and just 2 losses. Mason House lead the boys with a 208 game 377 series,
David Bell shot a 187 game 346 series and Eric Hotchkiss with a 172 game 333
series.
1-16 - Comstock 17 - Hackett 13
Boy’s varsity bowling continued on the winning track Monday night in a match vs Hackett, the match was close all night, they tied the first baker game then one the next baker with a nice 191 and baker total. They came up just short on the first regular game losing by just 32 pins, then came back and won the 2nd regular game by 26 and winning the match 17 to 13, the win brings them to 5 – 1 on the season. Mason House led the way shooting his personal best game of 236 and 450 series, David Bell adding a nice 211 game 399 series.
1-9 - Comstock 22.5 - Parchment 7.5
Boys varsity bowling was back in action last night vs Parchment, the boys got off to a slow start losing the first baker game, but bounced back winning the 2nd baker game and total. The keep it going in the regular games winning both and total to defeat Parchment 22.5 to 7.5, the win brings them to 4 – 1 on the season. Mason House led the boys with games of 178 and 201 for a 379 series, Eric Hotchkiss had 176 and 179, and David Bell added 179 as well.
12-21 - Comstock 16 - Coloma 14
Boys’ varsity bowling got back on the winning track last night beating a very
good Coloma team 16 -14, the boys were down early losing both baker games, then
stormed back in the regular games winning both and shooting a season high 944
game and 1771 series. Mason House led the colts with a season high 224 game and
a personal best 415 series, Garrett Green also shot his personal best 173 game
and 310 series, Hunter DeLeon also shot his personal best game of 173, Eric
Hotchkiss added a nice 212 game, the win brings them to 3 – 1 on the season.
12-19 - Comstock 13 - Schoolcraft 17
Boys’ varsity bowling lost a close one last night against Schoolcraft 13 -17, the match was close from start to finish, splitting the baker games and the regular games. David Bell shot his season high 226, Eric Miller shot his personal best 185 game and 328 series in the effort, the loss brings them to 2 -1 on the season.
12-12 - Comstock 16 - Kalamazoo Christian 14
Boy’s varsity bowling had their 2nd match of the season against K-Christian Monday night. The boys were in a battle all night in a very close match, they split the baker games and lost total by 1 pin, they also split the regular games and won total by just 4 pins to win the match 16 -14, the win brings them to 2 – 0 on the season. Mason House lead all scores with his season high 220 game and 406 series, Eric Hotchkiss added a fine 183 and David Bell a 180, Freshman Hunter DeLeon had a key spare in the 10th frame of 2nd game in the win.
12-7 - Comstock 29 - Galesburg-Augusta 1
Varsity bowling kick the season off Wednesday with a home match against Galesburg-Augusta, the boy's team came out making a statement with a big 29 to 1 win. The boy's came out strong in the bakers games shooting 173 & 203 to win both.Eric Hotchkiss lead the Colts with a high game of 221 for a 414 series, David Bell shot a 209 game with a 403 series and Mason House added a 200.
