2-20 - Comstock 31 - Otsego 34

The JV boys showed grit and toughness in a match up against a strong Otsego team Tuesday night. After being down by 6 at halftime, the Colts went on a 11-0 run to start the 3rd quarter, and held that lead for much of the second half. Bryce Meach, who led the team in scoring with 12, was huge during the run. The Colts were unable to extend the lead down the stretch, and several missed layups proved too much to overcome as the boys ended up on the wrong end of a 34-31 final. We're proud of the effort against a top tier area team, but will not settle for anything less than a win no matter our opponent. The Colts look to push their win column to double digits heading into the final week and a half of the year.

2-16 - Comstock 35 - Bridgman 44

The JV Colts went on the road Friday night to take on conference leader Bridgman for the second match up of the season. Each team took turns claiming the lead much of the first half, but a combination of missed shots and turnovers was ultimately the demise for the Colts as they dropped the game 44-35. Rico O'Neal and Bryce Meach paced a struggling offense with 13 and 10 points. The Colts split the season series with Bridgman, and now shift gears to a tough match up against a strong Otsego program.

2-13 - Comstock 38 - Paw Paw 37

Monday night the JV Boys traveled to Paw Paw for a non-conference matchup. A slow start lead to an early deficit for the Colts, but the second unit, lead by Randy Powell and Tariq Givan, sparked a comeback to take the lead early in the second half. The game remained within one possession as each team went back and forth to take a lead. With 15 seconds to go point guard Kyle Mortimer set up his team out of a timeout to execute a final play. Mr. Big Shot Dalton Wilkins came off a double screen and buried the game winning 3 point shot with only 3 seconds remaining. The Colts also received key efforts from Tyler Wright with 6 points and 10 rebounds, and Rico O'Neal, who lead the team in scoring with 10 points. This win gave the team their 8th victory of the season with 5 games to play.

1-26 - Comstock 45 - Berrien Springs 40

The JV boys picked up their 4th straight win on Friday night knocking off Berrien Springs 45-40. Pacing the offense was Jared Plane with 12 points and Rico O'Neal with an additional 10. Tyler Wright added 6 points off the bench and rebounded everything in sight. The Colts face their toughest test of the season as they travel to Kalamazoo Christian on Tuesday night in pursuit of their 5th straight win.

1-22 - Comstock 64 - Constantine 29

The JV boys team won their third straight game Tuesday night defeating Constantine 64-29. Bryce Meach became apart the 20+ point performance club, joining Jared Plane, Rico O'Neal and Dalton Wilkins, after a 27 point outburst. The Colts also received 10 points from point guard Kyle Mortimer and 12 points from forward Dalton Wilkins. More importantly the Colts continued to display their commitment to true team defense through communication and grit. The Colts look to stay hot while securing their 4th straight win and a season sweep over Berrien Springs on Friday night. Keep building!

The Colts had an additional three other players in double digits with Josh Small providing a strong 13 points, while Randy Powell and Kyle Mortimer each had 12. The Colts inch closer back to 500 heading into the break.

12-5 - Comstock 27 - Vicksburg 40

While the team played outstanding team defense and rebounded well, but could not get anything going on the other end all night.
