The 7th grade lady colts struggled to get their offense going on Saturday after a long Thanksgiving break. Brynne Johnson led the team with 8 points and Kierra Garret hit a long range 3 from the top of the key, but it wasn't enough to beat a talented Allegan team 28-21.

11-22 - Comstock 32 - Harper Creek 41

The 7th grade girls team got off to a fast start, but couldnt hold off a tall Harper Creek team. Arianna Mathews continued her stellar defensive performance with numerous steels and rebounds. Bryne Johnson ,as usual, played a gritty game on both sides of the ball and scored 10 points. Marissa Mc Bride came off the bench and gave some quality minutes to keep the game close.

11-15 - Comstock 43 - Parchment 34

The girls Rising stars 7th grade basketball team extended their winning streak to 3 games against a scrappy Parchment team 43-34.  Kierra Garrett led the way with 22 points and added some great passes to set her teamates up.  Arianna Mathews was all over the court on defense and had some key rebounds to keep the offense going.  Madi Overholts played some determined defense and helped break Parchments full court press.  Nice job girls!!!

11-8 - Comstock 27 - Delton-Kellogg 26

The girls worked hard on their half court trap led by Cierra Jackson, who had at least 5 steals, which increased the lead to double digits. Pa Nee Hang and Makia Gregory displayed great attitudes and gave some quality minutes to help keep the lead against a young Portage Northern Huskies team.

11-8 - Comstock 27 - Portage Northern 6

This was ESPN's game of the week as the fatigued Colts battled a tough Delton team and won a nail biter 27-26. Marissa McBride hit an acrobatic shot off the glass with one minute left to give the girls a lead they would not relinquish.  Kelsey Wilson-Abrams  blocked the last shot as time expired, which secured a hard fought Colts victory!!

11-1 - Comstock 10 - Lakeview 38

The Colts fought hard against a physical Lakeview team. Angel Currie played an awesome point guard against a very tough 1-3-1 zone trap.  Kelsey Militzer was all over the boards and also hit a nice jumper off the glass. The highlight of the game was an amazing fade away jumper at the buzzer by Cierra Jackson that brought the crowd to their feet!

10-25 - Comstock 13 - St. Joe 46

The 7th grade girls fought hard until the end of the game and tried their best against a well coached and fundamentally sound St Joe team but lost.  Kierra Garrett led the team with 8 points.  Jessica Silvey made a great play for an easy lay-up and Monae Patterson had her first 2 points of her already stellar career.  The heart and soul of the team was Brynne Johnson who played her heart out and had the scratches to prove it.
