Dear Comstock Elementary,
It is my pleasure to send this letter and to introduce myself as principal of Comstock Elementary School. I am very excited for the upcoming school year at CES. I feel very fortunate to be able to be a part of this school community and to be able to work to support the students and the families of our school.

My career started at North Elementary, where I taught second, fourth, and fifth grade for ten years. After ten years as a North Star, I transferred to Green Meadow Elementary where I taught first, second, third grades, and eventually supported students in kindergarten through third grade in Reading. In 2012, I became the principal of Green Meadow which I thought would be my forever home. As a graduate of Comstock, a parent, and principal, I am thrilled to be leading our future at Comstock Elementary.
I try to bring a broad range of experiences in education to my role as principal of our new school. I view education as a life-long process, and expect that I will continue to learn much about Comstock Elementary this year and in the years to come. Most importantly, I bring a belief that the students are at the center of all school-related decisions. I am excited to unite my experience, my openness to learn, and my child-centered approach to support our students. Because the relationships between families and the school are vital to the success of our students, I encourage you to become involved in every way possible. I look forward to working with each of you.
I am ready to make every effort to help your child reach his/her fullest potential. I promise to give my all to our students’ experience, and I will request the same efforts from our staff and school community. Together we will continue to move Comstock Public Schools and its students through a positive present and toward a strong future.
Sincerely,
Susan Caswell, Principal
