2-27 - Comstock 10 - White Pigeon 37

The Colts traveled to White Pigeon to end the season. They played hard but couldn't seal the game against the scrappy, high-paced White Pigeon team. Avery Kustche led Comstock with 8 points, and Brenda Hummel added a 2 points. The Maleia played great defense on their point guard, Adrianne McGrail was aggressive and forced the Chiefs to turn the ball over. 

2-20 - Comstock 9 - Mendon 17

The Colts came out strong in the first half against Mendon losing by just 2 points. Comstock held Mendon to a non-scoring 2nd quarter, but lost momentum to end the game. The Colts lost 17-9. Avery Kutsche scored 4 points, Maleia made her first free throw of the season, and Brenda went 3/4 from the free throw line. 

2-13 - Comstock 12 - Centreville 28

The Colts lost on the road to the Bulldogs in a very intense game. The final score being 12-28. Maleia Peterson played great defense on their point guard and created some fast break turnovers for her teammates. Avery Kutsche led the score with 6 points, and Nakiah Holmes-White was big on the boards. 

2-8 - Comstock 11 - Decatur 22


Comstock came out short losing 11-22 after playing Decatur last night. Avery Kutsche led scorers with 5 points. Aaleyiah Reese shot 3/4 from the line, and Brenda Hummel added 3 points. Hayleigh Rhinehart, and NaKiah Holmes-White played great help-defense. Adrianne McGrail was aggressive getting rebounds. The girls came out fighting, ending the 2nd quarter 7-12, down by 5. Some key players found themselves in foul trouble, and led Decatur to the free-throw line. 

2-6 - Comstock 20 - Lawrence 6

Comstock went up against the Lawrence Tigers again last night, after a tough one point loss during the first game.  
The Colt's came out on top winning 20-4! Avery Kutsche ended her night with 10 points, Brenda Humel, Hayleigh Rinehart, Aaleyiah Reese, and Adrianne McGrail all contributed 2 points, and Maleia Peterson played lock-down defense as well as scoring her first basket ever! Great job to all! 

1-30 - Comstock 13 - Bangor 14

The Colt's had an intense game tonight losing to Bangor 13-14. Comstock jumped out to a 6-2 lead after the 1st quarter, and maintained that lead until late in the 3rd quarter. The girls never gave up and remained composed throughout the game. Aaleyiah Reese was strong on the boards and ended the night with 5 points, Avery Kutsche lead the score with 6 points, and Maleia Peterson played stellar defense throughout the night.

1-25 - Comstock 12 - Bloomingdale 44

The Colts came up short against Bloomingdale. 12-44 Avery Kutsche had 6 points, Kaitlyn Burza, Brenda Hummel, and Aaleyiah Reese all added a bucket to the final score. Bloomingdale maximized on the boards and took over in the paint. Hayleigh Rhinehart played solid defense and gave 100 % the whole game.

1-23 - Comstock 17 - Hartford 6

The girls came out strong and picked up their first win tonight 17-6. They only let Hartford score one basket the entire 1st half, with only 6 players! Avery Kutsche led the Colts with 11 points, Hayleigh Rinehart and Adrianne McGrail each got their first bucket tonight. Maleia Peterson played lock-down defense having over 5 steals on the night.  The team really pulled it together after a long 3-day weekend without any practices. 

1-19 - Comstock 11 - Lawrence 12

Comstock 8th grade girls basketball lost by a single point to Lawrence 11-12.  
The girls kept Lawrence scoreless in the first quarter, but ran out of steam to close the game. Avery Kutsche scored 5 points in the second half to keep the Colt's in the game. Aaleyiah Reese scored 4 points in the 1st half and attacked the boards. Na'Kiah Holmes-White scored her first basket for the season. The girls look to regroup as they take on Hartford Monday to end their 3 games in-a-row start of the season.


1-18 - Comstock 10 - White Pigeon 14

The Colts fell short in their season opener against White Pigeon 10-14. Scoring for the Colts, Aaleyiah Reese had (2) 3 pointers, Avery Kutsche scored the first 2 points, and Kaitlyn Burza scored a mid range jumper for 2 points. Hayleigh Rinehart and Maleia Peterson played outstanding defense in the 2nd half, keeping White Pigeons point guard from scoring the remainder of the game. The girls look to make improvements and take on Lawrence tomorrow.
