2-14 - Comstock 37 - Paw Paw 33

The girls JV team defeated Paw Paw 37-33. Scoring it typically done by 3/4 players each game but tonight we had 8 colts score for us. Kelci Wilson Abrams led the team with 14 followed by Katelyn Burns 7 points. Gabrielle Langajens did a great job knocking down free throws during the last minute to help secure the win. 

2-7 - Comstock 21 - Hackett 29

Comstock JV girls fell to Hackett Tuesday night 21-29. Gabrielle Langajens did a great job beating the their press but unfortunately we couldn't make a shot the first half. She also chipped in 9 points coming from 3 three point shots. Kelci Wilson Abrams led the team with 12 points. 

1-31 - Comstock 34 - Allegan 29

The girls JV team defeated allegan 34-29 behind a 12 point 3rd quarter. We were aggressive but smart on defensive which is something we've been trying to work on all season. Offensively we were more patient which lead to easy points rather than rush for a quick contested shot. Jaime Jeffries led the team with 11 points followed closely behind was Gabrielle Langajens with 8 points.

1-23 - Comstock 26 - Buchanan 24


The girls JV team extended their record to 9-5 with a 26-24 win over Buchanan. We didn't hold a lead throughout the entire game until there was 2 minutes left in the game. Our defense was the deciding factor as the girls didn't let them score a single point the entire fourth quarter. We full court face guarded the entire 4th quarter and forced several turnovers. Scoring was equal across the board with Katelyn Burns leading the team with 8 points, followed closely by Kelci Wilson Abrams, Jaime Jeffries and Callie James having 6 each. 

1-17 - Comstock 27 - Schoolcraft 33

The girls JV team started off strong defensively to secure a lead going into the half but could hold on through the fourth quarter. Turnovers proved to be the deciding factor for us as we couldn't handle their full court pressure. Jaime Jeffries did a great job for us pushing the ball down the floor looking for open teammates and also chipped in 7 points herself. Katelyn Burns led the colts with 10 points.

1-13 - Comstock 44 - Bridgman 29

The girls JV team beat Bridgman 44-29. We got off to a great start, being aggressive in our half court trap which resulted in several turnovers from the other team that and led to points for us. Kelci Wilson Abrams continues to be a dominant force for us in the paint leading the team with 18 points, along with being aggressive on the boards. Callie James also chipped in with 8 points.

1-10 - Comstock 36 - Bronson 28

The girls JV basketball team got off to a slow start. Behind Katelyn Burns 6 easy points the team eventually climbed their way back to take a 20-19 lead going into halftime. Jaime Jeffries got us going on both ends of the floor and led the colts with 12 points. Callie James continued to be a pest on defense and not allowing the point guard to set anything up offensively. Typically 3 or 4 of our players do all of the scoring but 8 of our 12 players scored for us tonight. 

12-13 - Comstock 14 - Gull Lake 60

The girls JV team got out to a good start with a 9-6 lead after the first quarter. Despite losing 60-14, each girl continued to improve and word hard throughout the entire game. Kelci Wilson Abrams led the team with 5 points. 

12-7 - Comstock 24 - Berrien Springs 17

The girls JV team came away with their second win of the season tonight against Berrien Springs. We held a 8-1 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back. Kelci Wilson Abrams continues to use her size as a threat in the paint leading the Colts with 8 points while pulling down several rebounds. Katelyn Burns and Jaime Jeffries each chipped in 6 apiece. 

12-6 - Comstock 35 - Hopkins 29 OT

Comstock Girls JV team pulled away with their first win of the season after defeating Hopkins 35-29 in overtime. Katelyn Burns continued to show her aggressiveness on the boards pulling down several defensive rebounds along with scoring 8 points. Jaime Jeffries and Kelci Wilson Abrams also had 8 points a piece. 

12-2 - Comstock 38 -  Brandywine 43 2OT

The JV girls basketball team lost a tough game against Brandywine 38-43 in double overtime. We started the game a little shaken after Brandywine came out in a full court, deny press leading to an 8-0 run. After settling down we ended the first half down by 1, 14-13. Joy Thomas scored in the final seconds of the 4th quarter and the first overtime to extend them game. She led the team with 17 points and Katelyn Burns chipped in 10 along with several crucial rebounds. Callie James kept us in the game with her tenacious defense.

11-29 - Comstock 28 - Vicksburg 29

The JV girls basketball team fought a tough battle their first game of the season but it wasn't enough to hold off Vicksburg in the 4th quarter. Joy Thomas led the way for the colts with 11 points and several crucial steals. Followed by Gabby Langajens 7 points including two 3 pointers.
