2-24 - MHSAA Regional Bowling


Girl’s varsity bowling closed out their season Friday and Saturday at the MHSAA regional tournament. Friday at the team event the girls came out strong averaging 20 pins over their season average for the 6 baker games, they continued to bowl solid in regular game and placed 10th overall. The highlight was Game 3 when the girls handed un-defeated and conference campion Coloma their first loss of the season by 16 pins.  Single event on Saturday was 6 more games, Abby House was the top finisher coming in 21 out of 78, Abby bowled solid all day with a high game of 175 for a 914 total. Alexus Hofacre made a strong showing in her first regional, averaged 28 pins per game over her average finishing 44th and shooting her personal best 173 game.

2-16 - KVA Conference Tournament

Girls varsity bowling finished conference play Friday at the KVA conference tournament, the girls bowled well all day finishing 3rd verall and shooting their season high series 1317. Abby House led the girls with a 195 game (her season high) and 352 series, Emily Hainer shot her personal best 167 game 311 series. The girls continue to improve every match, they finished 5th in conference with 10 wins and 8 losses, Abby House was 7th in average and named to the all-conference team.

2-12 - Comstock 26 - Parchment 4


Girl’s varsity bowling marked up another win Monday at home vs Parchment 26 – 4, the win brings them to 10 – 7 on the season. The girls got off to a great start winning both baker games, shooting the 5th high all time game of 176 and # 1 all-time baker series of 326. The great bowling continued into the regular games with the girls taking both, 602 – 544 and 692 – 640, 692 is a season high as well at their 1294 series. Alexus Hofacre led the girls with her personal best 169 game and 272 series, Clair McFarlan added a 154, Abby House a 150, Emily Hainer a 142 and Kaitlynn Burns with her season high 130 game, also contributing to the record setting night was Nicole Dankert, Ella McAllister and Gabby Langjans. Last conference match Wednesday vs Schoolcraft, Continental Lanes, 4:00pm start.

2-5 - Comstock 8 - Martin 22

Boys varsity bowling came away with a much needed win 22 - 8 Monday night on the road against Martin, the win brings them to 4 wins 10 losses and 1 tie. The boys got off to a slow start splitting the baker games and losing total by just 1 pin. The first regular game was close the entire way, but pulled out the win, the second regular was never in question with the boys shooting there season high 758 game and securing the win. Hunter Deleon was high with a 187 game, Eric Miller shot a 186, Logan Hicks added a nice 159 and Jeffery Koss shot his personal best 256 series. Next match is Wednesday Vs Hackett at Continental lanes, 4:00 start time.

1-24 - Comstock 17 - Bronson 13

Girls varsity bowling edged out Bronson on the road Wednesday night 17 – 13, the win gets them back to 500 on the year at 6 & 6. The girls started out coming from behind to tie the first baker game, they won the 2nd and total to take 8 -2 led in to the regular games. The first regular game the girls shot there season high 655 to win the game and 7 points, they lost the 2nd game but earned enough point to win the match. Abby House led the girls shooting 185 and her season high 187 game and season high 372 series, Emily Hainer shot her personal best 151 game, Kaitlynn Burns added a nice 127. Next match is Monday vs Galesburg-Augusta at Eastland 4:00pm start time.

1-22 - Comstock 1 - Coloma 29

Girls varsity bowling faced conference leading Coloma on the road Monday night, the girls put up a fight but lost in the end 1 – 29 bringing them to 5 & 6 on the season. Ella McAllister led the girls shooting her personal best 149 game and 282 series, Alexus Hofacre shot a 126 and Emily Hainer added a 123. Next match is Wednesday on the road at Bronson, 4:00pm start time at Strike zone in Bronson.

1-17 - Comstock 19 - Constantine 11

Girl’s varsity bowing came away with a big 19 - 11 win Wednesday night at home vs Constantine, the win brings them to 5 & 5 on the season. The girls lost the first baker game by 5 pins, 116-121, came back to win the 2nd game by 11, 101 to 90, the girls won 4 of 5 first individual games but lost the game by 4 pins 625 to 629, they won 3 of 5 and the game in the 2nd game by 30 pins to win the match. 648 game and 1273 series are both season highs for the team. Abby House shot a 165, Alexus Hofacre shot a 141 game and her personal best 271 series, Clair McFarlen and Ella McAllister added games of 130. Next match is Monday on the road vs Coloma, 4:00 start time a Kelly bowl in St. Joe.

1-15 - Comstock 17 - Schoolcraft 13

Girls varsity bowling was at home Monday night facing a tough Schoolcraft team, the girls came out firing, winning both baker games and taking a 10-0 lead into regular games. In the 1st regular game they were able to win 2 head to head games, tie another and with the game total to help secure the win 17 – 13, the win brings them to 4 & 5 on the season. Abby House lead the girls with a 167 game, Gabrielle Langejans add a nice 123. Next match is Wednesday at home vs Constantine, start time is 3:30 at Eastland bowl.

1-10 - Comstock 14 - Parchment 16

Girls varsity bowling lost a heart breaker Wednesday night against Parchment 14 -16, the loss brings them to 3 & 4 on the season. The girls got off to a great start winning both baker games and baker total to take a 10 – 0 lead into the regular games, they won 3 in the first regular game and then were only able to win 1 point the last game bowling shorthanded 4 on 5.  Abby House led the girls with a 178 game. Next match will be at home vs Schoolcraft, 3:30 start time at Eastland.

1-8 - Scrimmage

Girl's varsity bowling was off due to Hackett not having a girls team, The girls scrimmaged with our JV team, shooting their personal best games and series were, Nicole Dankert 155 game and 287 series, Alexus Hofacre 147 game 266 series, Emma Otto 131 game 220 series and Clair McFarlen shot her personal best 237 series .Next match is Wednesday at Eastland vs Parchment 3:30 start.

12-20 - Comstock 17 - Martin 13

Girls varsity bowling came out on the winning side Wednesday night in a tough fought back and forth match at home vs Martin, the girls got off to a fast start winning both baker games and shooting there season high 255 baker series. Martin battled back winning the 1st regular game, Comstock turned it up in the 2nd game, winning the game and the match 17-13, the win brings them to 2-4 on the season. Clair McFarlen led the girls with her personal best 192 game, Abby House added a nice 158 game and Ella McAllister a 124. Next match will be Jan 10th away vs Parchment, 3:30 start time at Eastland Bowl.

 12-18 - Comstock 8.5 - Kalamazoo Christian 21.5


Girls varsity bowling was in action Monday night on the road vs K-Christian, girls started the match dropping both baker games and the first regular game, they battled back to win the 2nd regular game but came up short losing the match 8.5 – 21.5. The girls shot their season high 1153 series, Clair McFarlen 129, Kate burns 125, Nicole Dankert 104 all shooting season high games. Next match is Wednesday at home vs Martin, 5:30 start time at Eastland bowl

12-14 - Comstock 22.5 - Galesburg-Augusta 7.5

Girls varsity bowling earned their first win of the season Thursday night on the road against Galesburg-Augusta, the girls split the baker games dropping the first game then coming back to shoot a nice 142 to win the 2nd game and total. They won both regular games shooting their season high 631 game to seal the win 22.5 – 7.5. Abby House led the girls with a 168 game, 299 series, Alexus Hofacre shot her personal best 142 game, also shooting their personal best games were Crystal Crookshank with a 130 and Skylar Partanan with a 125. The win brings them to 1-3 on the season, next match is Monday night vs Kalamazoo Christian at Airway lanes at 3:00pm.

12-11 - Comstock 9 - Bronson 21


Girl’s varsity bowling was in action Monday night vs Bronson, the girls got off to a slow start dropping both baker games 106-112 and 111-135, they dropped the first regular game and then mounted a comeback and won the 2nd game 582-553, in the end they lost the match 9-21, bringing them to 0-3 on the season. Abby House led the girls with a 169 game 314 series, Kaitlynne Burns added a nice 113. Next match is Thursday vs Galesburg Augusta at Eastland at 5:30.

12-7 - Comstock 7 - Coloma 23


Girl’s varsity bowling had a home match Thursday night  vs defending conference champ Coloma, the girls got off to a good start winning the first baker game 149-125, but in the end lost the match 7-23, the loss brings them to 0-2 on the season. Abby House lead the girls with her season high 156 game 306 series, Alexus Hofacre shot her personal best 140 game 251 series, Skylar Partanen also shot her personal best 108 game 202 series.  Next match is Monday the 11th at home vs Bronson, start time 3:30
