3-2 - Comstock 72 - Hopkins 64

The Comstock varsity boys basketball team sent their seniors out with a nice win against Hopkins Thursday night 72-64. It was the seniors who led the way for the Colt's as Shaune Carter had a career high 28 points, Shane Easter had 17 points, and Tyreese Gardner added 13 points. Now Comstock will get ready to make a run at a district title next week. The first game will be 7:30 Wednesday against Pennfield at Parchment high school, hope to see everyone there!!!

2-28 - Comstock 48 - Plainwell 41


Comstock varsity boys basketball team defeated Plainwell Tuesday night 48-41. The Colts led the entire game but Plainwell wouldn't go away tying the game half way through the fourth quarter, but Comstock responded and pulled away for the victory. Tyreese Gardner finished with a game high 25 points while Shaune Carter and Jacob Wells added 8 points each. 

2-23 - Comstock 48 - Brandywine 56

Comstock Colts Varsity boys basketball team came up just short of knocking off 18-1 Niles Brandywine 56-48 Friday night. The Colt's played a hard fought game with a number of the team under the weather but just ran out of gas. Seth Ansel and Tyreese Gardner led the way with 16 points each. Comstock enters the final week of the regular season with two home games Tuesday and Thursday night.

2-17 - Comstock 49 - Bridgman 39

The varsity boys basketball team traveled to Bridgman Friday night for a conference matchup and looking for the season sweep over Bridgman. Comstock led at half 21-12, but had to battle to the end to defeat there opponent 49-39. Bridgman fought back all game and didn't make it easy for the Colts. Tyreese Gardner led the way with 16 points and Shane Easter scored a personal best on the season 15 points. 

2-14 - Comstock 72 - Paw Paw 85

The varsity boys basketball team traveled to Paw Paw Tuesday night who is 13-3 on the season. After a slow start Comstock was down 12 after the first quarter and Paw Paw continued to stretch the lead but the Colts didn't give up and kept battling back. The lead was cut to 7 points in the fourth quarter but two turnovers in a row resulting in 5 points for Paw Paw stretched the lead back to 12 and resulted in a 85-72 defeat. Tyreese Gardner led the way with 34 points and Shaune Carter added 17 points.

2-10 - Comstock 58 - Parchment 55


The varsity boys basketball team took on rival Parchment Friday night and came away with an exciting 58-55 victory. Comstock led throughout the game and were up by as many as 13. Parchment hung around and had a chance to tie the game on the last possession but the Colt's didn't allow a shot up. Shaune Carter led the way with 16 points, Tyreese Gardner added 15 points and Jacob Wells chipped in 14 points in his first varsity game as a freshman.

2-7 - Comstock 52 - Hackett 77

The boys varsity basketball fell to a undefeated Hackett team Tuesday night 77-52. Comstock came out strong but Hackett's pressure on defense and smart play on offense became to much for the Colts. Seth Ansel and Shaune Carter led the way with 13 points each and Tyreese Gardner added 12 points. Comstock will be back in action Friday night against rival Parchment at home.

2-3 - Comstock 70 - Buchanan 57


The varsity boys basketball team got a big win Friday night in front of a great home crowd. Comstock defeated Buchanan 70-57 with a very balanced attack having four guys score in double figures for the first time all year. Shane Easter and Seth Ansel each had 11 points, Shaune Carter added 12 points, and Tyreese Gardner led the way with 28 points. 

1-24 - Comstock 52 - Cassopolis 54


Comstock varsity boys basketball team dropped a road game Tuesday night at Cassopolis 54-52. Getting off to a really slow start and to many turnovers to begin the game hurt the Colts again.  A big third quarter got Comstock back into the game and tied it up going into the fourth quarter after trailing by 13 at halftime. The Colts had opportunities down the stretch to win the game just couldn't convert on a few baskets. Tyreese Gardner led the way with 22 points while Seth Ansel added 13 points and Shane Easter chipped in 8 points.

1-20 - Comstock Loss vs Brandywine

1-18 - Comstock 53 - Buchanan 47 OT

The varsity boys basketball team went on the road Wednesday night and defeated Buchanan in a thrilling overtime game 53-47. Comstock came out with alot of energy defensively and did a great job containing Buchanan's shooters. This was another great team win defensively and offensively with 7 different guys scoring led by Tyreese Gardner with 23 points. With the victory Comstock moves into second place alone with a big matchup Friday night at first place Niles Brandywine.

1-17 - Comstock 39 - Schoolcraft 71


Comstock varsity boys basketball team took a tough loss Tuesday night to Schoolcraft 71-39. The pressure and hardworking team from Schoolcraft flew around the court making things difficult for the Colts all night. Tyreese Gardner led the way with 16 points while Shaune Carter added 10 points. Comstock gets a chance to bounce back tonight against conference opponent Buchanan on the road.

1-13 - Comstock 44 - Bridgman 22


The varsity boys basketball team got back on track Friday night taking down conference opponent Bridgman 44-22. Comstock did a great job not giving up easy baskets throughout the game and pulled away in the fourth quarter. The Colts were lead by Tyreese Gardner with 20 points but it was a complete team effort and victory with 7 guys scoring. 

1-10 - Comstock 46 - Bronson 52

Comstock Varsity boys basketball team fell to 2-4 on the season Tuesday night at Bronson. A big second quarter by Bronson and to many turnovers ended up being the difference in the 46-52 loss. Tyreese Gardner led the Colts with 24 points. 

12-20 - Comstock 58 - Kalamazoo Christian 62


Comstock boys basketball varsity team lost a tough one last night 62-58 against Kalamazoo Christian. Leading at halftime 33-31 Comstock battled all four quarters but just came up short in the end. Tyreese Gardner led the Colts with 29 points while Shaune Carter added 10 points.

12-13 - Comstock 61 - Gull Lake 66


 The Comstock varsity boys basketball team lost their second straight game to Gull Lake Tuesday 61-66. A back and forth game throughout with Comstock leading 28-27 at half. Then Gull Lake came out hot in the second half taking the lead and didn't give it back up. The Colts were led by Tyreese Gardner with 20 points and Travon Blakely with 19 points. 

12-9 - Comstock 48 - Berrien Springs 55


Comstock varsity boys basketball team were defeated by Berrien Springs Friday night 55-48. A tough competitive game against a good conference opponent who took an early lead and unfortunately held onto it throughout. The Colt's battled the whole game keeping it close, but just couldn't get over the hump. Comstock was led by Travon Blakely with 17 points and Tyreese Gardner with 15 points.

12-6 - Comstock 51 - Vicksburg 49

Comstock boys basketball varsity team started the season off in exciting fashion last night against Vicksburg. Down by 11 points at halftime and down 13 points going into the fourth quarter the Colts didn't give up battling all game.  With six seconds left Comstock was down 48-49, Vernard Whitehead drove the length of the court and found Shane Easter under the hoop for a bucket and a foul with .2 seconds left to give the Colts a 51-49 victory. Tyreese Gardner lead the way with 21 points. The boys will be back in action Friday at home against Berrien Springs in a big early season conference matchup.
