10-4 - MHSAA Regional at Moss Ridge
To start out our final match of the season, the Colts travelled to Moss Ridge Golf Course in Ravenna to compete in the MHSAA Regional 21 match. The team was playing against some of the best schools in the regional! The weather was perfect and the players were excited to play with some new schools. Ultimately, the team performed well over all and placed 14th out of 15 teams over all. Senior Annalise Schreiner finished out her high school golf strong keeping a good attitude throughout the day. Thank you for all the support over the 2022 season and the team is looking forward to a restful offseason to start getting ready for next season!
9-26 - KVA Conference Tournament at Hawkshead
On this miserably cold and wet day, the Colts battled hard on one of the hardest courses that they have played all year! While the team was not able to bet the elements, senior Emily Greenhalgh shot her person best on the front 9 and was able to finish out her high school golf career on a high. The team put forth a valiant effort but ultimately fell short and finish in 8th place out of 9 teams. All the players improved greatly over the course of the KVA season and are looking forward to the Regional Tournament next week.
9-23 - Kalamazoo Christian Jamboree at Heritage Glen
The Colts travelled to another new course for the KVA. Freshman Sophia Villa and Junior Madison Greenhalgh lead the team in scoring today. The team battled hard and manage to finish in 5th place, the highest rank they have received all season! Senior captain Anna Schreiner had a great round and almost managed to break her personal record! The team is getting ready to take on the conference tournament on Monday!
9-15 - Comstock Kate Kwasny Varsity Tournament at Eastern Hills
On a beautiful sunny day, the Colts hosted the annual Kate Kwasny Memorial Tournament. This was the first 18 hole tournament of the year. Sophomore Olivia Peterson lead the team today with a score of 110 and finished 17th overall. The team greatly improved their score from last year and had a great day getting to play with players from other schools outside of the conference.
9-13 - Comstock Jamboree at Eastern Hills
For the home match of the season, the Colts were ready to play today. Junior Madison Greenhalgh had the best round of her career scoring a birdie, par, and a bogey along with her personal best of a 52. Freshman Sophia Villa also shot a new personal best of 52! The entire team had low scores and set a new team season low of 224.
9-12 - Michigan Lutheran Jamboree at Blossom Trails
On the first cold day of the season, the Colts did not crack under the pressure. They came out clubs blazing to compete. Freshman Sophia Villa was the low scorer of the day and set a new personal best ending with a score of 54. The team had a new low score of 234!
9-9 - Comstock Deb Dart JV Tournament at Hickory Ridge
The Colts hosted the annual Deb Dart Junior Varsity Tournament with a total of 8 schools competing. Junior Ava Dalton had a fantastic day improving on her skills and ended up shooting her personal best! The team had a fun round and all scored very well!
9-7 - Dowagiac Jamboree at Indian Lake Hills
Today, the Colts took on a brand new course! They fought hard to stay on top but ended up falling short. Sophomores’ Ava Schreiner and Olivia Peterson took the top two spots for the Colts. The overall team score was 260.
9-1 - Schoolcraft Jamboree at States
On a very warm day for golf, the colts played hard out on the golf course. Leading the team was sophomore Ava Schreiner who started and finished the day strong! She set herself a new personal best of 52 and scored in the top 15 golfers of the match. Chipping was the strong suit of the day and the team is looking better and better as the season progresses.
8-25 - Allegan Jamboree at Cheshire Hills
The weather did not hold off long enough for the Colt’s to avoid getting rained on during the match. Senior Emily Greenhalgh and Junior Madison Greenhalgh started in the first match of their golf career. Both player performed well for there first match. The team struggled as a whole, but still kept a positive attitude and finished strong despite the bad weather.
8-23 - South Haven Jamboree at Beeches
The team got an early start this morning at the Beeches Golf Club in South Haven. This was a brand new course for the entire team. Almost all the golfers lowered their scores from our first match. Leading the team in scoring with a tie were sophomore Olivia Peterson and Freshman Elizabeth Dersh. The team finished in sixth place for the day.
8-16 - Hackett Jamboree at Milham
The Colts started off the 2022 season with the Hackett Jamboree at Milham Park Golf Course in Kalamazoo! The team had a good start to the season and took 6th place out of 9 teams in their first conference match! Senior Captain Anna Schreiner shot a new personal best and both freshman Sophia Villa and Elizabeth Dersch had a good first round in their high school golf career. The team is looking forward to improving and having fun as the season progresses.
