10-23 - Comstock 34 - Decatur 20

The Varsity Football Team finished their regular season Friday with a home game against Decatur. The Colts came away with a victory 34-20. The win gives Comstock their first non-losing season since 2007, their first senior night win since 2011, and their first playoff berth since 2007. The team was led by Carl Owens, who had 187 yards and two touchdowns rushing. Owens also added a score on defense with an interception for a touchdown. Corn Shaver also scored two rushing touchdowns. Owen Drake rushed for 105 yards and added 18 receiving yards. The defense was led by Nate Matthews, who finished the game with 12 tackles and an interception. 

10-16 - Comstock 0 - South Haven 14

The Varsity Football team played its first home game of the season Friday night against South Haven. The Colts played an incredibly tough game, but came up short 0-14. Evan Caswell Completed 11 passes for 100 yards. Carl Owens led the team in rushing with 38 yards. Andre Jones led the team in receiving with 43 yards. Kareem Owens led the team defensively with 9 tackles. 

10-9 - Comstock 7 - Buchanan 42

The Varsity Football Team traveled to Buchanan Friday night for a BCS Conference Game. The Colts fell short 7-42. Owen Drake ran the ball 11 times for 69 yards and a touchdown. Kayla Berg converted the extra point. Carl Owens ran the ball 21 times for 63 yards. Carl Owens had 6 tackles and one TFL. Kareem Owens had 5 tackles, 1 TFL and a fumble recovery.

10-2 - Comstock 58 - Wyoming Lee 8

The Varsity Football team took the road Friday night to face off against Wyoming Lee. The Colts would win the game 58-8. Evan Caswell was 5/9 passing for 79 yards and 2 TDs. Carl Owens rushed for 276 Yards on 23 carries for 3 TDs. Owen Drake had 7 carries for 41 yards and a TD. Evan Caswell had 2 rushes for 2 yards and 2 TD's. Israel Patterson had 1 catch for 41 yards and a TD. Owen Drake had 4 catches for 34 yards and a TD. Kayla Berg was 4/4 on her PAT attempts.

9-25 - Comstock 12 - Berrien Springs 6

The Varsity Football team competed Friday against Berrien Springs at Buchanan High School. Comstock came away with a 12-6 victory that came down to the final seconds of the fourth quarter. Offensively, the Colts were led by Carl Owens who rushed for 78 yards and Evan Caswell who completed 10 of his 15 passes. The game however was decided by a strong showing by the Comstock defensive unit. Comstock held Berrien Spring to just 220 yards of total offense and 6 points. The defense also forced 3 turnovers which proved to be the difference in the game. In the fourth quarter, trailing by 6 points, Corn Shaver intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown to tie the game at 6-6. Later in the fourth quarter, Carl Owens also returned an interception for a touchdown to give the Colts the lead with only a few minutes left in the game. On the pursuing drive, Berrien completed a big pass and had first and goal from the six yard line with about 1:15 left on the game clock. The defense knocked down two passes on first and second down, sacked the Berrien QB on third down and forced an incompletion on 4th down to seal the victory for the Colts. The win is Comstock's first ever win against Berrien Springs, snapping Berrien's 12 game conference win streak. 

9-18 - Comstock 21 - Stockbridge 47

The Varsity football team opened its season Friday night against Stockbridge High School. The team fell short 21-47 on the road. The defense was led by Kareem Owens who recorded 10 tackles, 2 tackles for loss and 2 sacks. Cornelius Shaver played a great game as well, scoring on a long TD pass from Evan Caswell at the end of the first half and rushing for a TD later in the game. Carl Owens was the leading rusher with 55 yards and a TD. The offensive lineman of the game was Skylar George. Kayla Berg led the team in kicking with 1/2 PAT's made.
