3-9 - Comstock 46 - Vicksburg 54
MHSAA District Quarterfinal


Comstock boys varsity basketball team season came to an end last night. The Colts were defeated by Vicksburg at Paw Paw in the first round of districts 46-54. Dalton Wilkins tried to keep Comstock in the game with 11 of his 14 points in the 4the quarter but Vicksburg slowly pulled away. Kyle Mortimer was solid all game and led the Colts in scoring with 16 points. 

2-18 - Comstock 41 - Constantine 39

Comstock varsity boys basketball team traveled to Constantine Tuesday evening and came away with a 41-39 victory. The game was close throughout with the Colts playing great team defense containing the Falcons. Israel Patterson led Comstock with 16 points and Dalton Wilkins added 14 points. 

2-14 - Comstock 27 - Brandywine 42

On Friday night the boys varsity basketball team took on Niles Brandywine at home. The game started out in a defensive battle with Comstock leading the game at half 11-9. The game was back and forth but Brandywine pulled away in the 4th quarter winning 27-42. Dalton Wilkins led the scoring for Comstock with 10 points and Kyle Mortimer added 8 points. 

2-11 - Comstock 26 - Gobles 44

Comstock boys varsity basketball team took on Gobles Tuesday night. The Colts were cold shooting all night and couldn't get things going in a 26-44 defeat. Israel Patterson was the lone Colt in double figures with 13 points and Kyle Mortimer had 5 points. 

2-7 - Comstock 38 - Buchanan 56

On Friday the boys varsity basketball team traveled to conference opponent Buchanan to try and complete the season sweep against the Bucks. Unfortunately Buchanan shot the ball really well scoring 21 points in the first quarter which led to the Colts losing the game 38-56. Kyle Mortimer led Comstock in scoring with 12 points and Gabe Romero-Pole had 7 points.

2-4 - Comstock 38 - Hastings 70

The Comstock boys varsity basketball team traveled to take on Hastings Tuesday and fell 38-70. Hastings came out of the second half shooting the ball really well and the Colts didnt have an answer. Dalton Wilkins lead Comstock in scoring with 13 points and Kyle Mortimer added 7 points. 

1-28 - Comstock 55 - Olivet 48

The Comstock varsity boys basketball team took on Olivet last night at home. After falling behind in the first half the Colts found themselves down four at halftime 18-22. But Comstock came out in the second half with a hot hand shooting and pulled away to a 55-48 victory. JR Kellum and Dalton Wilkins each had 15 points to lead the Colts and Kyle Mortimer added 14 points. 

1-17 - Comstock 

1-14 - Comstock 26 - Kalamazoo Christian 47

The boys varsity basketball team traveled to Kalamazoo Christian Tuesday night and were defeated 47-26. Comstock came out with a lot of intensity holding the Comets scoreless in the first quarter leading 7-0. Unfortunately the Colts had a cold shooting night and couldn't get things going offensively. Dalton Wilkins led the team in scoring with 9 points and Israel Patterson added 8 points. 

1-8 - Comstock 56 - Saugatuck 43

The Comstock Colts boys varsity basketball team took the court again Wednesday night against Saugatuck. After a tough loss Tuesday the boys bounced back with a 56-43 win. Down by 4 going into the 4th quarter the Colts responded with a 16-0 run led by Israel Patterson who scored all of his game high 17 points in the second half. Kyle Mortimer scored 10 points, Dalton Wilkins added 7 points, and Evan Caswell brought a spark off the bench with 6 points. 

1-7 - Comstock 42 - Allegan 59

The Comstock varsity boys basketball team came back after the holiday break and fell to Allegan 59-42 Tuesday night. Kyle Mortimer and Jared Plane led the Colts in scoring with 9 points each and Carter Wintz added 8 points. 

12-13 - Comstock 59 - Buchanan 45

Comstock varsity boys basketball team took the court Friday night at home against the Buchanan Bucks to open up conference play. The Colts played a great game defensively and had a balanced scoring attack to defeat the Bucks 59-45. Leading the way for Comstock was Kyle Mortimer with 17 points and Dalton Wilkins added 13 points. Joe Allan chipped in 10 points while Jared Plane and Israel Patterson each had 9 points. The Colts are on the road Friday to take on Niles Brandywine. 

12-10 - Comstock 35 - Vicksburg 51

Comstock varsity boys basketball team opened the season on the road at Vicksburg Tuesday night. The Colts made a run at the end of the second quarter with some hot shooting to tie the game 24-24 going into halftime. Unfortunately the hot stretch didnt carry over to the second half and Vicksburg pulled away beating Comstock 51-35. Jared Plane lead the way with 14 points, Dalton Wilkins added 8 points and Kyle Mortimer scored 6 points. The boys are back in action Friday night at home against conference opponent Buchanan.
