8th A Girls Basketball
Coach Anna Meulenberg-Munn

2-29 - Comstock 9 - Allegan 24
The
girls got off to a rough start picking up several fouls in the first
half. They did a much better job figuring things out in the second half.
Abby Schreiner had an amazing assist to Kaylee Woods for an easy two
points. Erika Brant did a nice job defending her girl and grabbing some
rebounds.
2-27 - Comstock 8 - Plainwell 29
The
8th grade Lady Colts traveled to Plainwell last night. The girls came
out fighting and were only down by 7 going into the second half. But
they just couldn't get a shot to fall. Kari Wilson-Abrams out rebounded
everyone. Mikala Sims did a great job talking on defense. Best of all
Morgan Hoffman made the ref feel like he was apart of the team. Keep
working girls!
2-15 - Comstock 22 - Three Rivers 28
The
8th grade girls basketball team played an excellent game last night
against Three Rivers but came up just short of a win. All of the girls
played with intensity and passion. Calisa Buell played great help-side
defense. Scoring for the Lady Colts were; Erika Perez, Katie Leaders,
Grace Miles, Mikala Sims, Kari Wilson-Abrams, and Kaylee Woods. Keep up
the good work girls!
2-13 - Comstock 8 - Paw Paw 35
The
8th grade Lady Colts basketball team hosted Paw Paw last night. The
girls struggled in the first half giving up 26 points but came our
scrappy in the second, holding Paw Paw to just 10 points. Ericka Brant
played very intense defense on her girl throughout the entire game.
Katie leaders lead the team in rebounds and points.
2-8 - Comstock 7 - Otsego 32
The
8th grade girls basketball team lost to a tough Otsego team last night.
Katie Weston was very aggressive and created a few Otsego turnovers.
Kaylee Woods put up a long 2pt shot before going into half time. And the
entire team came together to figure out how to eventually beat Otsego's
full court press. Keep working ladies.
