5-11 - Comstock 0 - Bridgman 14

Comstock Softball faced a state recognized Bridgman team last night and came away with a come from behind first game win to split on the night.  In an exciting game one Comstock gave up 2 runs in the top of the 3rd but played solid defense behind a good outing on the mound from Madelyn Caswell.  Big defensive plays lead by Kaylee Gilley and Brandi Munson left Bridgeman base runners stranded in almost every inning. Comstock got on the board in the 6th inning when Chloe Labrie singled, then stole second.  Abby Schreiner came up with the big hit with 2 outs to score her.  Comstock held Bridgeman in the top of the 7th to give themselves a chance in the bottom of the inning.  Abby House lead off with a line drive single and was followed by a hit by Sara Preston.  Laken Groll put the ball in play forcing a Bridgeman error allowing the Colts to score and tie the game.  With runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out Chloe Labrie hit a walk off base hit to score Sara Preston and win the game.

In game 2 the Bridgman bats were too much to handle and the Colts ended up dropping a sloppy defensive game 14-0 in the 6th inning.  Brandi Munson lead the Colts offensively.  Aliyah Woodman made her 2nd plate appearance with another solid at bat.  Bridgeman didn't allow a run making it one of the few time all season the Colts failed to score a run in a game.
