10-9 - Comstock Invitational


Comstock Volleyball made it to the semi finals of the Comstock Volleyball Tournament. The Colts made their best showing all season. The Colts were led by Rhayna Smith and Brianne Doud contributing a combined 23 kills. Smith ended the day with 13 kills and Doud ended the day with 10 kills. Kyla Owens, Brianne Doud, and Rhayna Smith together came up with 13 blocks for the day. Noelle Keene had another impressive setting performance with very athletic moves to save her team from giving up points. Keene covered every square inch of the court to save the ball from hitting the floor. Noelle also had 3 aces for the day.

10-5 - Comstock 0 - Centreville 3

Comstock struggled to keep up with a tough Centerville team. The Colts lost in three. 9-25, 8-25,13-25 Kyla Owens and Brianne Doud led the Colts with 2 kills each in the match. Noelle Keene and Mackenzie Bowers led the Colts with digs. Noelle had 4 digs and Mackenzie had 5 digs. Brianne Doud led the team in aces with 2.

9-23 - Comstock 0 - White Pigeon 3

Comstock lost in three to White Pigeon. 12-25, 9-25,16-25 Litzy Ramirez and Rhayna Smith led the Colts with 4 kills each in the match. Noelle Keene and Litzy Ramirez led the Colts with digs. Noelle had 7 digs and Litzy had 6. Noelle Keene contributed save after save during the match. Between Noelle's hustle and her ability to adapt,she has developed many skills that have kept the Colts in the games.

9-7 - Comstock 0 - Olivet 3

Comstock traveled to Olivet on 9/7/2021 and fell to the Olivet Eagles in 3. Comstock was head to head with the Eagles in the first game for the first 11 points.  The Colts struggled against the Eagles' tough servers.  For Comstock's serving game, Noelle Keene led the Colts with 3 aces.  Rhayna Smith led the team with 11 service points.  Rhayna Smith, Mackenzie Bowers, and Noelle Keene all contributed kills to the match.  The final scores were 11-25, 24-26,14-25.

8-30 - Comstock 0 - Decatur 2


The Lady Colts traveled to Fenville for a Tri-Match. Comstock came out ahead in 3 against Fennville. 18-25, 25-23, 15-13 Madigan Webster came in the second game to help pull the Colts from their first game slump. Madigan's calm and positive approach help to turn around her team. Kyla Owens led the match with 4 kills. Noelle Keen had 3 aces to help her team come out ahead. In the second match, Rhayna Smith led with 4 kills and an ace. Brianne Doud served for 7 points. Comstock fell to Decatur 18-25, 19-25.

8-28 - Loy Norrix Invitational

The Comstock Colts traveled to Loy Norrix for a tournament. The Colts fell to Kalamazoo Central 19-25, 12-25, and 13-25 to start the morning. They took on Parchment next and kept the first two games close but fell to the Panthers 23-25, 23-25, 14-25. The Colts moved onto bracket play and fell to Union City 18-25, 16-25. Litzy Ramirez led the Colts with 14 kills for the day, followed by Rhayna Smith with 8 kills for the day. Rhayna Smith also led the team in digs with 24 digs for the day.

8-24 - Comstock 1 - Galesburg-August 3

Comstock fell to Galesburg in 4. Comstock started out strong with a win of 25-10. The Colts came out with a strong serving game forcing Galesburg to make errors. Litzy Ramirez lead the Colts with 4 aces in the match. Mckenzie Bowers and Brie contributed to the match with 3 kills each. Summer Beavers was a consistent server with only 1 error in the match while keeping the Colts int the game. 25-11, 22-25, 10-25, 26-28
