5-25 – MHSAA District - Comstock 0 - Parchment 8
Comstock left the district tournament early and went home scoreless against Parchment with a 0-8 final score. The Colts finished the season 7-11 overall.
5-23 – Comstock 6 - Sturgis 11
Comstock returned home and lost a barn-burner to Sturgis, 11-6. Lydia Kruis and Anna Putti were the goal-scorers with 4 and 2 respectively with assists coming in from goalkeeper Summer Beavers off of a deep drop-kick, Alondra Chiquito, Lydia Kruis, and Madigan Webster off of a free kick. This game closed out the Colts’ regular season, they enter the district tournament with a rematch against Parchment on Wednesday.
5-19 – Comstock 1 - Michigan Lutheran 9
Comstock traveled to St Joseph and lost a tough match to Michigan Lutheran on Thursday 9-1 with Lydia Kruis scoring the lone goal, assisted by Anna Putti.
5-16 – Comstock 4 - Hartford 1
Comstock wrapped up conference play and secured the SW10 conference title on Monday by defeating Hartford 4-1. In addition to the back-to-back conference titles for the Colts, Junior Lydia Kruis also broke the previous school record of 50 goals in a season by scoring 3 in this contest, bringing her total to 52. Sophomore Anna Putti added the final goal as well as an assist.
5-12 – Comstock 9 - Bangor 1
Comstock traveled to Bangor on Thursday and beat the Vikings 9-1 in spite being down a player for the game due to injury. Junior Lydia Kruis scored 7, tying for 9th all-time on the MHSAA leaderboard for goals in a game. The other 2 goals came from Alondra Chiquito and Taze Johnson; assists came from Anna Putti (4), Litzy Ramirez (1), and Madigan Webster (1).
5-9 – Comstock 9 - Marcellus 0
Comstock returned back to conference play, the first of 3 consecutive conference games being a re-match against Marcellus. Again, Lydia Kruis dominated with 6 goals and was assisted by Litzy Ramirez and Madigan Webster. Ramirez added 2 goals of her own and Anna Putti added a goal as well. The Colts have another conference re-match against the Bangor Vikings on Thursday.
5-7 – Quincy Tourney - Comstock 6 - Maple Valley 2
Comstock traveled to Quincy to participate in a 4-team tournament, drawing Maple Valley in the first round. The Colts won a deceptively comfortable game, 6-2, with Lydia Kruis putting up 5 goals assisted from Anna Putti, Litzy Ramirez, and Taze Johnson. Ramirez, with her 2 assists, broke the school record for assists in a season (19, previously held by Kruis) and looks to build upon that as the season continues. Johnson was the other scorer, assisted by Kruis.
5-7 - Quincy Tourney - Comstock 4 - Quincy 10
The Colts found themselves up against the hosts, Quincy, in the 2nd round and were ultimately defeated 10-4. Although Comstock kept within striking distance most of the game, they could never keep Quincy out of the back-field for long and, with 6 minutes remaining in the contest, the floodgates opened and the game went out of reach. Comstock took home the consolation prize of 2nd place in the tournament.
5-4 – Comstock 6 - Buchanan 7
Comstock lost a heartbreaker on the road in Buchanan on Wednesday, 6-7. The Colts entered halftime down 6-2 with goals from each of Lydia Kruis and Litzy Ramirez. Kruis completely took over the 2nd half and was un-guardable, putting up 4 more goals. With the clock under 2 minutes, down 1, Kruis again found herself marked by 3 Bucks and was still able to take a shot that would have equalized the game had it not found the right post. The colts would not have another opportunity and would leave Buchanan just short.
5-2 – Comstock 8 - Bangor 0
Comstock snapped their losing streak with a decisive victory over the Bangor Vikings, 8-0. Litzy Ramirez dominated the stat-sheet, putting up 4 goals and 4 assists. Lydia Kruis added 3 goals to her tally and an assist to goalkeeper Summer Beavers which ended the competition for the night. The Colts next travel to Buchanan this Wednesday.
4-29 – Comstock 2 - Saugatuck 8
Comstock suffered another tough defeat on Friday, this time at the hands of the Trailblazers of Saugatuck by a score of 8-2. Lydia Kruis scored 2 unassisted goals on an otherwise quiet night from the Colts, who only got off 8 shots total. They will look to rebound as they return home and back to conference play next week against Bangor.
4-27 – Comstock 1 - South Haven 9
The Colts were routed by South Haven on Wednesday to the tune of 9 goals to 1, the lone Comstock goal coming from Lydia Kruis and was assisted by Litzy Ramirez. Comstock travels to the lake shore to face off against Saugatuck on Friday.
4-25 – Comstock 8 - Hartford 2
Comstock played host to conference opponents Hartford on Monday, defeating the Indians 8-2. The Colts were led by Lydia Kruis, who scored 5 and added an assist. Sophomore Anna Putti added 2 goals of her own and Litzy Ramirez finished off the scoring with a goal and two assists. The Colts will host South Haven this coming Wednesday.
