Game Information

Comstock Stampede Tournament
3-10 - Comstock 20 - Coloma 27
The boys were down as many as 13 points before making another comeback to bring it within 4 but not any closer.  I love the never give up in them.
3-10 - Comstock 42 - Paw Paw 44
The boys lead for most of the game but some late 3 pointers by Paw Paw lifted them over us in the end.  The defense let down several times but all things that can be fixed.
3-10 - Comstock 20 - Dowagiac 9
The boys came out and played great team defense.  Maybe the best defensive game of the year.  The score could have been worse had we made more of our layups.  Great job boys.
3-10 - Comstock 35 - Allegan 13
This was a great game to end the season.  Another great defensive performance.  All of the boys were helping each other out and some big strides were made in the overall understanding of how to play man to man.  Jesse Mortimer, Connor Kent and Donovan Saunders were most improved on the defensive end.  Great job boys.

Athens Tournament
3-4 - Comstock 39 - Reading II 4
3-4 - Comstock 25 - Reading I 10
3-4 - Comstock 22 - Athens 28
The boys did very well on the day.  Lots of great things happened including a really rough first half vs Athens.  Athens played a zone which made the boys have to be more patient.  After being down 16-2 at half, they came back out in the 2nd half and got it going to make a game of things outscoring Athens 20-12.  I was very proud of their never give up attitudes.

Springport Tournament
2-18 - Comstock 27 - Springport 33
The boys were down as much as 14 points before making a great comeback to within 2 points before falling to Springport.
2-18 - Comstock 16 - Parma Western 40
The boys ran into a tough Western team.  The game was close in the first half before falling farther behind late in the game.
2-18 - Comstock 18 - Northwestern 10
The boys had a tough time getting things going but eventually did in the 2nd half to pull away from Northwestern.

Comstock Tournament
2-12 - Comstock 28 - Gull Lake 27
Kyle Moore led Comstock with 16 points but it was Joel Lopez's go ahead game winning shot with less than a minute that put Comstock ahead for the first time in the game and were able to hang on for the win.
2-12 - Comstock 29 - Comstock Park 42
Kyle Moore led Comstock with 13 points but it wasn't enough to keep Comstock Park from pulling away for the win.
2-12 - Comstock 21 - Coloma 26
Connor Kent played a great defensive game while Kyle Moore kept us close with 11 points.  We were down 3 with a minute to go but were unable to get any closer.

2-4 - Comstock 22 - St. Joe 27
The was a tougher matchup and the boys were in it to the end.  Joel Lopez led the team with 11 points and did a great job hustling.  Kyle Moore did a great job of holding their big man to very few points.

2-4 - Comstock 43 - LMC 14
The boys played very well coming out of the gate scoring the first 10 points of the game.  Kyle Moore led the team with 14 points and all the boys contributed in some way.

The boys won the 4th game of the tourney to finish 4-0 and win the Vandercook Lake Championship.  Connor Kent, Donovan Saunders and Jamie Smith did an excellent job throughout the game.  Joel Lopez and Seth Ansel led the team with 8 and 7 points to help secure the win.
1-15 Comstock 28 - Vandercook Lake 20
The boys came out a little flat and had to grind out a win.  Zac Taube came up with a big basket in the 4th quarter while Kyle Moore led the team with 9 points.  The entire team battled through a rough game.
1-14 Comstock 29 - Columbia Central 26
The boys went down early but fought back to eventually take the lead and hang on for the win.  Jesse Mortimer came up big for the team with a couple of huge baskets in the 4th quarter.  Seth Ansel and D'Andre Gladney were big on the boards.
1-14 Comstock 39 - Chelsea 27
The boys came out on fire in the first game of the tournament doing an excellent job pressuring the ball.  The boys also did a great job breaking their press.  Kyle Moore and Joel Lopez led the team with 11 and 10 points.  Jamie Smith came up big with his first points of the season.

12-10 - Sharp Shooter Final
Comstock 14 - Whiteford 48

The boys need to feel great about making it to the championship game but matched up against a very good Whiteford team.  There is much to learn from this game.  Kyle Moore continues to be a great leader on the floor and Jaime Smith is showing great improvement.

12-10 Sharp Shooter Semifinal
Comstock 34 - Parchment 32

The boys had to grind out another game for a win against a Parchment team that just wouldn't give up.  Seth Ansel hit 4 crucial free throws down the stretch to help secure the win and put them in the championship game.  Joel Lopez and D'Andre Gladney worked really hard getting rebounds and Zac Taube did some great things on the floor.

12-3 - Comstock 29 - Coloma 38

The boys couldn't quite pull it all together for a win against Coloma but they certainly are on the right track.  Jesse Mortimer scored a couple of important baskets and Zac Taube is showing some real progress on the court.

11-19 - Comstock 35 - Parchment 30

The boys continued to work hard in the 2nd game of the day and it netted them their 2nd win of the season.  Joel Lopez led the team in scoring with 12 while Kyle Moore and Seth Ansel chipped in 7 and 6 respectively.  Connor Kent made some great moves and Zac Taube played well.

11-19 - Comstock 29 - Homer 47

This was by far the best game these boys have played.  The intensity and hustle was amazing and something great to watch.  The boys pulled within 3 points early in the 4th quarter before losing the battle on the boards that stretched out their lead. Joel Lopez led the team in scoring with 10 and Kyle Moore added 9.  It's hard to pinpoint just one kid on this amazing effort because every single one of them did a great job.

11-12 - Comstock 29 - Coloma 36

The boys started off real slow only scoring 2 points in the first quarter but ended up getting things going well.  Kyle Moore played great defense on Coloma's point guard and Jesse Mortimer continues to improve his play.

11-5 - Comstock 42 - Parchment 41
The 6th grade boys team played a great game and won their first game of the young season.  Kyle Moore led the team with 23 points and Joel Lopez chipped in 9.  Seth Ansel showed some great aggressiveness on defense and D'Andre Gladney pulled down many rebounds.

11-5 - Comstock 21 - Homer 59

The 6th grade boys had their hands full with the height of the Homer team.  They still did an exceptional job getting into their offense and being aggressive on defense.  Kyle Moore led the team with 8 points Joel Lopez and D'Andre Gladney were very aggressive on the boards.
