3-5 - Comstock 52 - Kalamazoo Christian 49 OT

Comstock freshmen boys finished up their excellent season with a thrilling overtime victory over Kalamazoo Christian 52-49. The Colts were led by Seth Ansel with 12 points. Joel Lopez and Austin Currie each added 10 points. With the win, the boys end the season with a record of 17-3.

2-25 - Comstock 57 - Delton-Kellogg 15

Comstock freshmen boys played Delton Wednesday and improved to 16-3 on the season by a score of 57-15. The Colts were led by Joel Lopez who scored 16 points. Kyle Moore added 14 points. The Colts conclude their successful season next Thursday against K-Christrian.

2-23 - Comstock 49 - Hartford 28

The freshmen boys continued their great season Monday night defeating Hartford 49-28. Comstock, now 15-3 on the season, were lead by Joel Lopez with 16 points and Seth Ansel with 12 points.

2-17 - Comstock 65 - Brandywine 13

The freshmen boys basketball team got off to a very quick start and opened the game up early to defeat Brandywine 65-13. Improving their record to 14-3 on the season the Colts dominated on both ends of the court. Comstock was led by Kyle Moore with 16 points. Seth Ansel chipped in 15 points. Jesse Mortimer added 11 points.

2-12 - Comstock 47 - Schoolcraft 18

The Comstock freshmen boys improved there record to 13-3 on the season Thursday defeating Schoolcraft 47-18.  After the first quarter Comstock was up 11-0 and never looked back playing a complete game from start to finish. The Colts had 10 different players score in the game and were led by AJ Byrd with 12 points.

2-10 - Comstock 43 - Allegan 30

Comstock's freshmen boys got up early and defeated Allegan 43-30.  With great defense Comstock never trailed and didn't allow more then 9 points in any quarter. The Colts who are now 12-3 on the season were lead by Seth Ansel with 14 points.

2-3 - Comstock 38 - Hackett 23

The freshmen boys defeated Hackett 38-23 Tuesday bringing their record to 11-3. Comstock was led offensively by Joel Lopez who had a game high 12 points. Kyle Moore added 9 points. The Colts caused 26 turnovers and opened up the game in the second half with their defensive pressure.

1-29 - Comstock 44 - Parchment 9

The Comstock freshmen boys basketball team defeated Parchment 44-9 Thursday night at home.  Parchment went up 2-0 to start the game, then Comstock went on 34-0 run to extend and secure the lead.  Joel Lopez had 10 points, Kyle Moore added 11 (with three 3-point makes), and Jacob Dankert also added 6 points.  Jesse Mortimer and Kyle Moore led the team with 11 rebounds each.

1-28 - Comstock 42 - Lake Michigan Catholic 17

The Comstock freshmen boys defeated Lake Michigan Catholic Wednesday by the score of 42-17. From the start Comstock played great on both ends of the court getting great looks on offense and not allowing their opponent anything easy. The Colts put together a complete game and were led offensively by Joel Lopez with 10 points.

1-27 - Comstock 36 - Kalamazoo Christian 39

Comstock freshmen boys lost their third game of the season Tuesday against Kalamazoo Christian 39-36. The Colts got off to a slow start at the beginning of each half. Even though the freshmen boys fought hard to reclaim the lead at the end they just couldn't get over the hump to get the victory. Seth Ansel had a strong game knocking down four three pointers and had a game high 18 points.

1-22 - Comstock 49 - Delton-Kellogg 9

The freshmen boys played an impressive all around game defeating Delton 49-9 Thursday. Comstock was led offensively by Joel Lopez with 16 points. Kyle Moore and Seth Ansel each chipped in 9 points. The Colts played excellent team defense to shut down Delton and get back on the winning track improving to 8-2.

1-19 - Comstock 25 - Otsego 37

Comstock freshmen boys lost for only the second time this season 37-25. They competed all night just couldn't get over the hump with cold shooting against a good Otsego team. Seth Ansel was able to get some offense going leading with 11 points.

1-15 - Comstock 49 - Schoolcraft 24

Comstock's freshmen boys basketball team got off to a slow start against Schoolcraft. They picked it up in the second quarter and opened the game up eventually winning 49-24. Kyle Moore and AJ Byrd led the Colts with 9 points each but it was the defense that again held their opponent to under 30 points.

1-13 - Comstock 41 - Coloma 24

The Comstock freshmen boys defeated Coloma Tuesday by a score of 41-24.   Again excellent defense caused turnovers which turned into easy buckets for Comstock. The Colts were led by Seth Ansel with 12 points along with 10 points added by Joel Lopez. The victory brings their record to 6-1 on the season.

12-10 - Comstock 42 - Parchment 18

The Comstock freshmen boys shut down Parchment Thursday night holding them to 18 points. The great defense led the Colts to a 42-18 victory. Eric Miller led the way with 12 points and for the second game in a row 8 players scored. 

12-8 - Comstock 53 - Kalamazoo Christian 39


The Comstock freshmen boys started the season off last night with a 53-39 victory over Kalamazoo Christian. It was a great team effort all around with 8 players scoring and Austin Currie leading the way with 15 points. The team will be back in action Thursday at Parchment.
