Kenny was born and raised in Comstock and has lived here all his life. He was married to his high school sweetheart (Evelyn Sparks) now deceased. Ken earned 15 varsity letters throughout his high school career and did some pretty amazing things during that time. After high school, he continued having great success in baseball as the Kalamazoo All Star catcher that had the opportunity to play in an exhibition game against the Detroit Tigers.
