Patrick Vallier
Class of 1970
Pat Vallier was a very special athlete who excelled in football, basketball and baseball at a very young age. His love for sports and competitive nature grew from watching his older brothers play and insisting that they included him when they played sports with their friends, even though he was much younger. By the time he was in high school, it became obvious that he was a special athlete. His impeccable work ethic and desire to be great pushed him to be the best he could be. This work ethic was the catalyst for the numerous awards/achievements he would go on to achieve throughout his career and land him in the hall of fame today. If Pat was here with us today, he would tell you that his greatest achievement was his family and the legacy that lives on through his two sons and his grandkids. He spent endless hours playing ball with his two sons in the backyard and coaching their youth sport teams. He helped nurture a love of sports and a competitive spirit that, as he would say, “Only Vallier’s have!” He demanded excellence and pushed his kids to be the very best athletes they could be, always reminding them that they could work harder and do better. He took great pride in watching his two sons grow up to become three sport athletes and never missed a game or an opportunity to talk about them! May his legacy live on in the hearts of many! Forever a COLT! - Ryan Vallier
