In the first home tournament of the year the Comstock stampede 4th grade basketball team took 2nd place. In game one they beat Athens 25-7. High scorers for the game were Macy cannon with 12 points and Brionna Tiffany with 6 points. Shelby Alexander did a great job calling out screens and playing help defense. Megan James contributed by getting open on offense and creating shooting opportunities.  In the second game the girls fought hard but their shots just wouldn't fall. They lost to Lakeland 19-5. In the semi final game against Athens the girls won 24-6 putting them in the championship game. Macy cannon was the high scorer with another 12 points. Jakyah white added a bucket as well. Megan James and Masyn Scott boxed out really well. The girls played Lakeland for the last game. It was close the entire time. Jasmine Jernstadt was very aggressive on defense. The girls lost a close one 19-15. Keep up the good work!

The 4th grade girls Stampede team traveled to Camden Frontier this weekend. They took second place to kick off this years tournament season.  In the first game they beat Reading 17-3. Macy Cannon was the high scorer with 12 points. Megan James and Brionna Tiffany contributed to the win with great defensive efforts. The second game was against Camden Frontier. It was a close game at first but the girls ended up winning 20-13. Karissa Gilley scored 6 points off of layups. Masyn Scott set some great screens and Jakyah White defended her girl with confidence. In the Championship game they lost to Pittsford 23-17. Shelby Alexander did a fantastic job boxing out and transitioning. Jasmine Jernstadt used her speed to make many defensive stops. Keep working hard girls!
 
12-8 - Comstock 14 - Calhoun Christian 13

The 4th grade girls Stampede team had an intense game on Saturday. They beat Calhoun Christian by one point. Macy Cannon, Karrissa Gilley, Brionna Tiffany, and Masyn Scott all scored for the Stampede. Jakyha White and Jasmine Jernstadt did a great job trapping and stealing the ball. Good win ladies!

11-10 - Comstock 17 - Schoolcraft 21

The 4th grade girls stampede team lost a close one Saturday 17-21 to Schoolcraft. Kyla and Brionna Tiffany trapped really well. Macy Cannon, Brionna Tiffany, Masyn Scott and Karrissa Gilley all scored. Way to go girls.

Teamwork was evident in Saturday's 4th grade girls Stampede basketball game. Macy Cannon and Karrissa Gilley were the high scorers. Jasmine Jernstadt did a great job passing the ball in. 

10-27 - Comstock 10 - Pennfield 22

The 4th grade girls stampede team traveled to Pennefield this weekend where they lost 22-10.  Scoring for the colts were:  Brionna Tiffany with 2 points, Karrissa Gilley with 4 points and Macy Cannon with 4 points.  Shelby Alexander and Aysa Raines did a good job playing defense.
