3-1 - Comstock 40 - Parchment 28
3-1 - Comstock 44 - Vicksburg 51
The 8th grade lady colts ended their season 11-1 and taking 2nd place in the Vicksburg tournament. In the first game the lady colts rolled past Parchment 40-28. The 2nd game against Vicksburg was tight throughout, but the girls just ran out of steam losing 51-44. Great season girls! 2 tourney's left to win some trophies.
2-25 - Comstock 41 - Schoolcraft 22
The 8th grade Lady Colts ended the season on a high note winning 41-22 over Schoolcraft. Ahkyla lead the way with 20 points and the team played great defense producing a lot of turnovers. Arreona played tough inside leading to 5 points and Callie was all over the floor with her hustle and aggressiveness. The Lady Colts ended with a perfect record of 10-0 as they go into this weekend's tourney at Vicksburg. Way to go ladies!
2-20 - Comstock 32 - Vicksburg 27
The 8th grade Lady Colts had a battle Thursday against rival Vicksburg. The girls played a tough all around game and pulled out the victory 32-27 to move to 9-0 on the year. It was a real team effort on defense and Kaylee Gilley lead the team on offense with 18. Callie James was a real spark plug and did a great job all around. Great job ladies!
2-17 - Comstock 40 - Hillside 19
The 8th grade Lady Colts improved to 8-0 with a convincing win over Hillside 40-19. The team played their best all around game of the year with pressure defense and scoring easy points off the press. Brianna played strong inside with some tough rebounds and leading the way in scoring was Ahkyla with 20 and Kaylee Gilley with 12.
2-13 - Comstock 34 - Mattawan 14
The 8th grade Lady Colts extended to 7-0 with a 34-14 win over Mattawan. Kaylee and Ahkyla lead with 12 a piece while CJ and Arreona played great on the defensive end of the floor.
2-12 - Comstock 34 - Maple St. 24
The 8th grade Lady Colts move to 6-0 with a win on the road at Maple St. 34-24. Ahkyla showed lots of hussle with 20 points and 2 great blocks. Both Kaylee Gilley and Kaley Green played good games inside with strong rebounds and points in the paint. Looking for our 7th win in a row on the road at Mattawan today.
2-7 - Comstock 28 - Portage Central 0
Last Friday the Comstock Girls Basketball B-Team amazingly shut out Portage Central, 28-0. Grace Gostlin led the team with 20 points. Jaime Jeffries, Emily Hainer, Mia Anderson, along with Gabby and Hannah McMillon also scored. Nareia McPherson, Jessina Miller, Patricia Sivley and Lexus Colvin all played solidly on defense. Great job, ladies.
2-6 - Comstock 38 - Portage West 6
The 8th grade Lady Colts are now 4-0 after a impressive victory 38-6 over Portage West. Kierra and Ahkyla both lead the way with 14 points each. Callie and Kaylee played thru some tough injuries to both score 4. Today they will be looking to improve to 5-0 as they go on the road to face Portage Central. Good luck Ladies!
2-3 - Comstock 36 - Portage Northern 26
The 8th grade Lady Colts won their 3rd straight of the season to improve to 3-0. They beat Portage Northern 36-26 as Caylin Lopez lead the way with 19. Kierra played aggressive on the defensive end coming up with some steals and Brianna played well inside with some monster rebounds. Come watch us keep the streak alive Thursday @ home against Portage West.
1-30 - Comstock 52 - Milwood 10
The 8th grade Lady Colts were able to improve their record to 2-0 after a convincing win 52-10 over Milwood. Leading the way was Ahkyla with 17 and Kaylee Gilley with 12. Arreona had a very solid game with 10 and played a strong inside game as well. Callie James and Kaley Green both played great and were able to get into the scoring column as well. Come support the Lady Colts Monday at home vs Portage Northern.
1-23 - Comstock 39 - Linden Grove 30
The 8th grade Lady Colts started the season off right with a 39-30 victory over Linden Grove. Ahkyla Blakely and Kierra Lovelace lead the way for the Colts, both in double digits with 18 and 10 respectively. The whole team played good defense and were able to create turnovers off the press. Way to go Lady Colts!!
