The 7th grade Stampede team took 1st place in this weekend's tournament at Comstock. In game 1 the girls beat Comstock Park 32-26 and in the Championship beat St Joe 36-28. Callie James played great on defense and gave us some good minutes. Kalee Green also played scrappy on defense while she was in there. Great job to all the girls on a good season, good luck on the upcoming school season.

12-16 - Comstock 28 - Vicksburg 8th - 31
 
12-8 - Comstock 51 - Mattawan 26

The 7th grade girls Stampede team beat Mattawan 51-26 over this past weekend. The team played one of their best games of the season. Kierra Lovelace, Ahkyla Blakely and Kaylee Gilley all the lead the way with double digits in scoring. The lady colts played great help side defense and did a great job boxing out and rebounding. We end the season this weekend at home hosting our own tournament on Sunday. Good season girls!

12-1 - Comstock 29 - Marshall 37

The 7th grade stampede team lost another close game 37-29 to Marshall over the weekend. Callie James and Arreona Blakely played an aggressive game, but in the end we got out rebounded and couldn't overcome it. The girls played hard and we'll look to get the next one at Mattawan.

11-17 - Comstock 63 - Kalamazoo Central 36

The 7th grade Stampede team played an excellent game on Saturday enroute to a victory over Kalamazoo 63-36. Kaylee Gilley and Ciannah Lyerla did a great job rebounding and Cora Chandler was able to get into the scoring column for the first time this year. Great team effort by the lady colts and we expect to keep it going against Marshall in two weeks.

11-11 - Comstock 39 - Lakeview 49

On Sunday the girls lost to Lakeview 49-39. We didn't have the same energy and Lakeview came to play. Ciannah Lyerla and Kaylee Gilley had some nice buckets but the 4th quarter we didn't have enough.
 
11-10 - Comstock 49 - Otsego 38

On Saturday, the 7th grade Stampede beat Otsego 49-38 in a well rounded team effort. Ahkyla Blakely lead the way in scoring and Callie James played great team defense. Kaylee Green played good minutes and also did a great job on the defensive end.

11-3 - Comstock 44 - Vicksburg 45

On Saturday the 7th grade Stampede team played a double header first against a tough Vicksburg team and lost a heart breaker 45-44. It came down to the last 2.9 seconds but we couldn't get one to fall. The girls played very hard lead by Arreona Blakely's scrappy defense and some key outside shots from Kierra Lovelace.

11-3 - Comstock 46 - Three Rivers 41

In the 2nd game the girls won in another tough game 46-41 against Three Rivers. The game was highlighted by a one foot jump shot just inside the half court line that banked off the backboard and in at the end of the 3rd quarter by Ahkyla Blakely. Ciannah Lyerla was able to get some easy layups on the fastbreak. Also Destiny White and Callie James had keys steals on defense to help with the win.

10-27 - Comstock 27 - Pennfield 29

7th grade girls lost in a close battle 29-27 to Pennfield. They played well and had 5 girls in the scoring column lead by Kaylee Gilley and Ahkyla Blakely.
