3-8 - Comstock 24 - Bellevue 35

3-9 - Comstock 41 - Olivet 23
The 6th grade boys Stampede team took 3rd place over the weekend.  They beat Olivet 41 to 23 with 8 different players scoring, St. Joseph 42-39, and then lost two close games to tough Bellevue and Saugatuck teams, finishing with 2 wins and 2 losses for the weekend.

Jacob Wells did a great job attacking the hoop and Devon Alexander did a nice job distributing the basketball.  Dominique Hines and Nick Bianchetti rebounded well, and Josh Gordon, Michael Khazad, and Brent Drobny played stifling defense.  Everybody showed great improvement over the last few weeks!

Comstock 6th grade team played hard this weekend winning one of their three games. They won their first game against Athens 31-19, lost the second to Schoolcraft 29-23, and the last game to Climax-Scotts 29-25.  Jacob Wells led Comstock in scoring 11 points per game.  Devon Alexander had some great assists, and Josh Gordon played great defense in all three games.

Playing with only 4 players, totaling 106 minutes each in 3 games, the 6th grade Stampede team battled each game.  They lost to Homer 35-24, 31-16 to Hillsdale, and 35-28 to Grass Lake.  Jacob Wells averaged 11 points in the three games, Michael Khazad rebounded well, and Josh Gordon and Brent Drobny played great defense.

12-7 - Comstock 40 - Parchment 16
 
The Stampede won the fist game against Parchment 40-16. Lead by Jacob Wells who scored 15 points, the Stampede kept up a fast pace throughout the game and out played their opponent. Josh Gordon and Andre Outlaw both scored 6 points to help seal the victory for the Stampede.
 
12-7 - Comstock 12 - Marshall 35
 
In their second game, the Stampede lost to a strong Marshall team 35-12. Marshall was too strong for the Stampede and the defense could not keep up with the size and speed of Marshall. Josh Gordon and Jacob Wells both scored 4 points to lead the Stampede. 
 
11-23 - Comstock 39 - Galesburg 9
 
The Stampede defeated Galesburg 39-9 over the weekend. Lead by Jacob Wells and Michael Khazad who scored 12 and 7 points. The Stampede played great defense and every player contributed by scoring at least 2 points.
 
11-16 - Comstock 25 - Stevensville 51
11-16 - Comstock 42 - BC St. Joseph 18
 
In their first game they went up against Stevensville for the second time this year and lost 51-25. The Stampede played great defense and kept it close in the first half, but were unable to keep it going in the second half. Andre Outlaw played a great game, rebounding well and scoring 7 points to lead the Stampede
 
In the second game Vs. St. Josephs the Stampede started off slow but were able to take a commanding lead in the 4th quarter to come out with the victory 42-18. Brent Drobny scored 8 points and Devon Alexander scored 10 points to lead the Stampede to victory. Josh Gordon chipped in 6 points and Jacob Wells rebound great and scored 8 points to cap off victory for the Stampede. 
 
11-9 - Comstock 24 - Marshall 52
11-9 - Comstock 22 - Parchment 19
 
In their first game the Stampede lost to a strong Marshall team 52-24. Down 7 at the half the Stampede were unable to keep up with the fast pace of Marshall, Jacob Wells led the team with 9 points and Devon Alexander chipped in 6 points of his own to help the Stampede stay in it.
 
In their second game of the day the Stampede came back strong and beat Parchment 33-19 to the get their first victory of the year. Jacob Wells led all scorers with 11 points, Devon Alexander had 9 points, and Dominique Hines had 4 points to lead the Stampede to victory. In fact the whole Stampede team scored at least 2 points and played great defense throughout the game. 
 
 
11-2 - Comstock 32 - Vicksburg 36
11-2 - Comstock 13 - Stevensville 46
 
In their first game, the stampede fought back but fell short, 36-32 against Vicksburg. Devon Alexander scored 10 points and Josh Gordon scored 9 points to keep the stampede close.  In the their second game, the stampede lost to Stevensville 46-13. Jacob Wells lead the stampede with 9 points and did a great job rebounding throughout the game.
