5-28 - Comstock 3 - Delton-Kellogg 13

The Colts lost the first game 13-3 in 5 innings due to errors and a hard hitting Delton squad. Tiffany scored once and House scored twice as the colts could only muster only 1 hit in the first game with House getting a double. Caswell took the loss in the game. 

In the second game, the Colts lost 12-2 in 7 innings. Comstock did better than the first game where they  received 3 hits, Caswell got a double, and Smith along with Ansel grabbing a single. Tiffany received the loss in the game. 

5-24 - Comstock 6 - Battle Creek 3

Comstock Colts Varsity scores more runs than Battle Creek Central High School, takes victory on Friday to the tune of  6-3.  Comstock Colts Varsity pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning.  In the third Madison Lennon singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Natalie Carroll drew a walk, scoring one run, and Amelia Hall singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. Hall led Comstock Colts Varsity with three hits in three at bats.  Madelyn Caswell was the winning pitcher for Comstock Colts Varsity. She lasted seven innings, allowing eight hits and three runs while striking out 12.

5-24 - Comstock 15 - Battle Creek 0

Brionna Tiffany shut down Battle Creek Central High School, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Comstock Colts Varsity to a 15-0 victory on Friday.  Abby House led Comstock Colts Varsity to victory by driving in six runs.  She went 3-for-3 at the plate.  House drove in runs on a triple in the first, a grand slam in the second, and a single in the fourth.  Comstock Colts Varsity put up six runs in the fourth inning.  The offensive onslaught by Comstock was led by Amelia Hall, Carol Ballesteros, Tiffany, Katie Smith, and House, who each had RBIs in the inning. Colts collected 11 hits on the day.  House, Smith, and Hall each managed multiple hits for Comstock Colts Varsity.  House went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Comstock Colts Varsity in hits.  Comstock Colts Varsity didn't commit a single error in the field. Smith had  four chances in the field, the most on the team.

5-23 - Comstock 12 - Allegan 2

Madelyn Caswell was the winning pitcher for Comstock Colts Varsity. She surrendered two runs on eight hits over six innings, striking out nine and walking one.  Comstock Colts Varsity racked up 17 hits.  House, Caswell, Amelia Hall, Lennon, Natalie Carroll, and Tiffany all collected multiple hits for Comstock Colts Varsity.  Hall, Caswell, and House all had three hits to lead Comstock Colts Varsity.

5-23 - Comstock 4 - Battle Creek 5

Comstock Colts Varsity's effort to come back from down four runs in the second inning came up just short, as they fell 5-4 to Allegan High School on Thursday.  

Brionna Tiffany led things off in the circle for Comstock Colts Varsity. She allowed seven hits and five runs over five innings, striking out four and walking one.  Comstock Colts Varsity collected eight hits on the day.  House and Tiffany all managed multiple hits for Comstock Colts Varsity.  Tiffany and House all had two hits to lead Comstock Colts Varsity.

5-20 - Comstock 9 - Hackett 7

I’m the first game Caswell got the win holding the Irish to 9 hits, whereas Hackett gave up 13 hits to the Colts. Leading the charge was Lennon and House each with 3 hits, Caswell, Tiffany and LaBrie had 2, and Smith had 1 hit. The Colts only had 3 errors in the field. 

In the second game, the Colts only mustered 4 hits, whereas the Irish totaled 17. Tiffany started pitching, however Caswell relieved in the loss. Tiffany, House, Caswell, and McAllister all received hits in the game.

Colts faced a pesky Brandywine squad where the colts led for most of the game but couldn’t hold off the hitting of the Bobcats where they lost 7-3. Colts tallied 10 hits on the game with LaBrie and Caswell leading with 2 and Tiffany, House, Lennon, Geer, Smith, and Ballesteros had 1 apiece. Caswell took the loss in 7 innings. 

In game 2 the Bobcats turned their hitting up a notch and scored 16 and held the Colts to 3 runs on 5 hits. House had 2 hits, Tiffany, Caswell, McAllister all had a hit apiece. Tiffany took the loss, however Caswell tried the save but couldn’t do it by the end of the seventh.

In the first game the colts didn’t tally a hit until the bottom of the 7th and were down 7-0. The rally started with House as she got on with a single and Caswell hitting a double and scratching a RBI. Lennon comes up hits a single and moves Caswell over to 3rd. Geer is at the plate and notches a single along with a RBI. Smith gets on with an error in the field and moves Geer to 2nd while getting a RBI. Hall comes up to the plate and hits another single. With no outs Carroll comes to the plate and lays down a SAC bunt and a score, for a total of 5 runs. Caswell pitched a real good game as she limited hitting down the stretch and produced 6 Ks. 

In the second game the colts were leading up until the top of the 3rd with Tiffany on the mound. The Colts tallied 9 hits in the game with LaBrie getting 2 doubles, Caswell getting 2 singles, Tiffany, House, Lennon, Hall, Carroll all getting hits. Tiffany pitched the first 3 innings with 2 strikeouts with Caswell finishing the game.

Colts traveled to Climax on Friday and picked up a couple wins, 9-0 and 14-0 respectively. Caswell pitched the first game and didn’t allow a single run and only allowed 6 hits. The Colts tallied 14 hits for the first game with House leading the way with 3 hits, triple, double and a single. LaBrie picked up 2 singles, Caswell got 2 singles, Smith received 2 singles, Lennon picked up a double and a single, and Geer finished the game with a single. 

In the second game Tiffany picked up the win only allowing 3 hits for the game, pitching 5 innings. LaBrie lead the way with 4 hits out 4 at bats, Caswell went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and a single, House picked up a single, double and a HR, Lennon went 3 for 3 getting 2 singles and a double, Tiffany went 2 for 4 with double and a single, Geer and McAllister picked up hits. The Colts tallied 18 hits in just 5 innings.

Colts won in Friday against Benton Harbor 18-2 in the first game and 17-1 in the second game. Caswell was the winning pitcher for the first game and Tiffany was the winning pitcher for the 2nd.   
In the first game, LaBrie had a triple and a double scoring 5, Tiffany had 2 singles scoring 3, House had a triple scoring 2.   In the second game the colts had 9 hits total with Geer leading the way with 3 hits scoring 6, LaBrie and House each had 2 hits each both scoring 2, Caswell had one hit scoring 2, and McAllister getting a hit and scoring one.

Comstock went 0-2 at Lawrence in two contests losing 3-4 and 6-8 respectively. Caswell pitched the 1st game striking out 8 but it wasn’t enough for a comeback. Colts could only muster 2 hits in the game with Tiffany getting one and House getting the other. 

Game 2 the Colts led through 3 innings but had an injury on the field and had to make some substitutions. Tiffany pitched in this contest. The Colts hit better in this game with 9 hits however was not enough as the game was called due to low light. House and Caswell led the way with 2 hits, LaBrie had a solo homerun on the 4th pitch of the first inning, Smith, Carroll, and Ballesteros all recorded hits.

Comstock faces their rival Parchment on Tuesday night. The first game they lost 15-3 due to numerous errors in the field. For hitting it was LaBrie with a single and a double, Tiffany with a double, Caswell with a single and a double, House with a single. Caswell pitched all 4.5 innings. 

I’m the second game Comstock lost 14-2. Colts could only muster 4 hits on the game with LaBrie getting 3 of those and Hall getting the other. Caswell relieved in the loss with Tiffany starting in the circle. 

4-20 - Comstock 1 - Schoolcraft 13

Comstock met up with a good Schoolcraft team on Saturday. Comstock came away with 5 hits total out of the two games. Tiffany had 2 of those as singles, Smith had 2 hits (both singles) and House got a double. Colts ended up losing 13-1 and 15-0. 

4-16 - Comstock 2 - Buchanan 12

Colts were out scored by the Buchanan Bucks on Tuesday night 12-2 in the first game. Caswell took the loss on the mound. Colts struggled defensively making plays. On offense they improved from last game by tallying 8 hits but left many stranded as the game ended in 5 innings. LaBrie lead the Colts with 3 hits (all singles), Caswell 2 hits (2 singles), House has 2 hits (single and a double), and Geer and Lennon came away with 1 hit apiece. 

The Colts lost the 2nd game also, 4-0 but improved defensively after some changes. Unfortunately the Bucks had a fast pitcher on the mound whereas the Colts only picked up 5 hits. LaBrie lead the way the 2 hits (double and a single), Tiffany, Geer and Lennon all contributed hits for the Colts.

4-9 - Comstock 3 - Plainwell 9

Comstock Colt softball had a tough go against a good Wolverine Conference squad in Plainwell.  Caswell pitched the first game against a hard hitting Trojan team where the colts lost 9-3. Colts had 4 hits on the game at 2 a piece to House and Tiffany, with House getting a double and a single and Tiffany getting 2 singles. 

Second game was a tough one as the Colts lost 15-4 to the Trojans. Tiffany started the game pitching with LaBrie pitching most of the game. Again the Colts only had 4 hits on the game with LaBrie getting a pair of singles and House getting a pair of doubles. 

3-27 - Comstock 2 - Martin 10

Colt softball split with Martin on Wednesday losing the 1st 10-2 and winning the second game 8-7.  In the first game, the Colts improved with hitting from the night before as they accumulated 5 hits. House went 2/3 with a solo home run, a single and an RBI. McAllister had a single with an RBI. Lennon and Geer notched a hit. Caswell got the loss but continues to strike out 8 a game.  In the second game, the Colts out hit the Clippers 8-7 and came away with the first victory of the season. Caswell led the way with 2 hits and a RBI. House had a 3 run home run with 2 RBIs. Smith had a single and a RBI.  Geer had a single with 2 RBIs. McAllister and Lennon each had a double and a single respectively. Caswell came away with win with 5 Ks and only allowing 4 hits. It was a collective effort for the win on Wednesday.  
It came down to the wire on Wednesday, with Comstock Colts Varsity taking victory on a dramatic walk-off single in the late innings that sealed their victory over Martin High School.  Comstock Colts Varsity trailed 7-6 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Tia Geer singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
3-26 - Comstock 0 - Hartford 6

Colts struggled at the plate against a bullpen of solid pitching from the Hartford Indians. Lost 1st game 6-0 with Caswell taking the loss. However, Caswell ended up striking out 8. Tiffany ended up with the sole hit of the 1st game.  Colts adjusted to the pitching of Tiffany and beat the Colts 11-1. Again, Hartford had solid pitching with Comstock only tallying 3 hits on the game, 2 hits by Tiffany and 1 to Smith. Tiffany took the loss.
