5-12 - Comstock 4 - Hackett 3

The Colts came
together to put two good ballgames together over a pumped up and ready
Hackett baseball team last night coming from behind to win the first
game 4-3 on a walk off wild pitch and breaking a tie ball game in the
6th inning of the second game to win 5-4. Mason Groll pitched a 7
strikeout complete first game and drew a walk in the 7th that proved to
be the tying run on a Shane Easter drive to right. Easter came in to
pitch in the second game shutting the Irish out over four innings while
Brad Clements big, one out double brought Mikey Derhammer in with the go
ahead run. Ryan Eames drove in three runs on the night and gave the
Colts three great innings on the mound. The Colts travel to Parchment on
Friday for a 4 o'clock double header. Thank you to those who came out
on a cold day to support us.
5-8 - Comstock 4 - Schoolcraft 10
Bryan Moore's 2 run sacrifice tied the game at four apiece and the Colts
played hard but were done in by rain delays and miscues in dropping a
conference match-up to Schoolcraft 4-10 Friday night. The Colts, 13-6
on the season, host Hacket on Tuesday in a rare home game.
5-6 - Comstock 6 - Constantine 8
5-8 - Comstock 7 - Constantine 2
A fired-up Constantine took the Colts into extra innings and came away
with a conference win, 6-8 in the first game Wednesday night. The Colts
came back to win the second game 7-2 behind the strong pitching of
Bryan Moore and Chad Paddock's three RBI's.
4-30 - Comstock 17 - Gobles 7
The Colts unloaded on Gobles last night with 13 hits and 17 runs behind
the bats of Shane Easter who had 3 doubles, a triple and drove in 5
runs, and Logan Tiller, Chad Paddock and Gage Major who had two hits
apiece. Mikey Derhammer had a double and an rbi and Ryan Eames, Brad
Clements and Cal Ormanovich kept the Tigers in check on the mound. The
Colts are home Tuesday to host conference opponent Constantine. Thank
you to those who traveled in support of us, especially you Ms Ramsey.
4-28 - Comstock 3 - Kalamazoo Christian 4

The Colts made a valiant effort to come from behind in
the first game of a conference double header with Kalamazoo Christian
last night but came up short despite a 7th inning 2 run double by Logan
Tiller as the Colts lost 3-4. In the second game the Comets jumped out
to a 3 run lead in the first and despite a great shut out relief
performance by Logan Tiller, the Colts couldn't push across any runs in a
0 -3 loss. The team travels to Gobles on Thursday for a single
non-conference game.
4-25 - Comstock 3 - Hastings 0
4-25 - Comstock 4 - Hastings 2
Saturday the Colts hosted Hastings. In the first game,
Ryan Eames threw a 5 hit complete game shutout while Shane Easter and
Chad Paddock drove in all the runs the Colts would need for a 3-0 win.
In the second game, Brad Clements threw 5 strong innings and drove in 2
runs as the Colts picked up their 11th win of the season 4-2. The
Colts travel to Kalamazoo Christian on Tuesday for an important
Conference match-up.
4-24 - Comstock 4 - Delton-Kellogg 3

The Colts won the first game against Delton in dramatic
fashion Friday night, coming from behind to win in the bottom of the
ninth that started with a Max Raphelson drive to right, a walk to Logan
Tiller, an RBI single by Shane Easter and a walk off 2 RBI double by
Chad Paddock for a 4-3 victory. In the nightcap, the Colts exploded for
5 runs in the first and never looked back as Bryan Moore held Delton in
check and the Colts rolled to a 14-2 win.
4-21 - Comstock 14 - Galesburg-Augusta 2
4-21 - Comstock 13 - Galesburg-Augusta 0
The Colts swung the bats and made the some fine
defensive plays as they opened conference play by taking two games from
Galesburg,14 -2 and 13 - 0. Shane Easter had 6 hits including a triple
and a double and drove in 3 runs while Logan Tiller had 4 hits and drove
in 3. Ryan Eames also had 4 hits driving in 3 runs. Mason Groll
picked up the win in the first game and Bryan Moore and Brad Clements
shut the Rams out in the second game. The Colts host Delton in a
conference match-up Friday and take on Hastings at home on Saturday.
Thank you to all of you who came out and braved the cold to cheer us

The Varsity Baseball team travelled to Buchanan Friday
night and wound up in an extra inning battle that despite some heroic
efforts on the part of the Colts, ended up with an 8th inning Bucs 8-7
win. Logan Tiller had four hits and three RBI's, Shane Easter had three
hits and Chad's 2 run double took the Colts into extra-innings. The
second game was called after three innings due to darkness and ended in a
3-3 tie. The Colts would like to thank all of you who came out to
enjoy the 100 Inning Game Saturday and to remind you that they travel to
Galesburg Tuesday to open up Conference play.
4-14 - Comstock 6 - Coldwater 10

The Colts traveled to Coldwater last night for a doubleheader
under the lights and came away with a split against an honorable mention
division 2 team. The Colts played to a 6-6 tie through to the 5th but
the Cardinals took advantage of Colt miscues to break the game open for a
Coldwater 10-6 win. Brad Clements had 2 hits and 3 RBI and Logan Tiller
and Chad Paddock both hit doubles. In the nightcap the Colts exploded
for 5 runs in the third and went on to win a 10-3 ball game in which Cal
Ormanovich and Chad Paddock had three hits apiece, Two of Chads hits
were doubles. Bryan Moore had 2 hits and 2 RBI's, and Mason Groll
pitched four great innings of 3 hit ball before Shane Easter came in to
shut the Cardinals out for the final three innings and turn off the
lights. The Colts travel to Buchannan on Friday and are home for the
21st Annual 100 Inning Game on Saturday.

On a cold Saturday in Benton Harbor, the Colts Varsity Baseball team
took on the Kalamazoo Cougars in the first game of the Jackie Robinson
Classic and ground out a 8-2 victory led by Bryan Moore's 3 hit pitching
and backed up by Chad Paddock's 2 hit, 3 RBI's, and 2 hits apiece by
Shane Easter and Max Raphelson. In the second game, both the
temperature and the bats warmed up and while Mason Groll struck out 6,
Cal Ormanovich, Shane Easter, Bryan Moore and Max Raphelson had two hits
apiece. Cal and Mason drove in two runs each and Shane Easter drove in
4 runs. Bryan and Shane had two doubles each, Gage Major had his first
varsity RBI and Dylan LaBrie picked up his first varsity hit. Thanks to
all of you who came out to support us. A special thank-you for the
food and banana pudding.

The Varsity baseball team warmed things up last night with two
wins over visiting Battle Creek Central, winning the first game behind a
stellar pitching performance by Bryan Moore and the torrid bats of
Shane Easter and Max Raphelson who had 2 hits apiece. Max drove in 3
runs and Chad Paddock ripped a 3 run triple as the Colts cruised to a 13
- 0 victory. The bats stayed hot for the second game as Mason Groll
struck out 4 batters in 3 innings, Logan Tiller struck out 2 in an
inning of work and Shane Easter struck out the side in his inning of
work. Meanwhile Logan and Chad had two hits apiece, Brad Clements drove
in 2 runs and Shane drove in 2 more runs on 3 hits in a 15 - 2 win.
