10-9 - KAMSL League Meet
 
The cross country team competed in the first Kalamazoo Area Middle School League meet last night and did very well.  The top 20 medaled in each race.  For the boys, Jaidyn Love finished 13th and Casey Nolan finished 15th.  Garrett Green ran his best time of the year and Seth Ansel moved himself up to the 2nd best 7th grade time in school history.
 
Sam Huffstutter ran her best race of the year to beat her teammate Kendall Green by 2 tenths of a second to establish the #1 time in school history for 8th graders.  Congratulations to both ladies for setting the bar so high.  Callie James also set the #1 time for 7th graders.  Kaitlynne Burns ran her best time of the year as well.
 
9-29 - Otsego Invitational
 
The MS cross country team competed at Otsego on Saturday and did a pretty good job overall.  Jaidyn Love, Casey Nolan and Kendall Green medaled for Comstock.  Daryn Dratt and Patricia Sivley continue to improve their times and are doing a great job competing.
 
9-22 - Comstock Invitational
 
We were only able to run the MS boys race because of weather and Casey Nolan made the most of it.  He led for about half of the race and ended up finishing 7th.  His tenacity for grinding out races is great to watch. 
 
9-20 - Delton Invitational
7th & 8th Boys - Runner Up
 
The team did really well at this meet.  Overall we medaled 6 kids at the event.  The MS boys team finished 2nd to earn a trophy at the event.  Casey Nolan, Connor Kent, Garrett Green and Seth Ansel medaled in the race with Jesse Mortimer being the 5th scorer to secure the finish.  Kendall Green and Sam Huffstutter battled for the last medal in the MS girls division with Kendall edging Sam out.  Daisy Ansel continues to do well placing 5th in the 6th grade girls division.
 
9-10 - Gull Lake Invitational
 
The MS cross country team had their first invitational last night and did really well.  Kendall Green finished 6th in the MS girls race and Garrett Green finished 10th in the MS boys race.  Daisy Ansel finished 2nd in the 6th grade girls race.  Their next practice is Wednesday after school and there is still openings if you'd like to participate.
